pull an ecu code
Did you do this already or are you just worried? Just be very gentle you will feel it. Hold the silver part of the screwdriver rather than the handle. I have one of those 4 in 1 screwdrivers and I just use one of the tips. This takes away some of the leverage and gives more feedback. It is also smaller this way so it's easier to get in there.
Yes it's bad, now you better hope you can find the start point so the car runs normally.
A long time ago someone did this, he ended up opening his ECU and running a toggle switch to where the wires/stops where. So it would be switch on----normal. Switch off---Diagnostic mode.

i am confused with this resetting thing, u see first i turn clockwise and then counterclockwise to get the code, then i tried to reset it, according to "how to" its double clockwise and then counterclockwise. The weird thing is when i looked at the panel, the ecu light is still blinking at me, so i tried clockwise and counterclockwise once, and ecu light disappeared. please help me out here, i am really confused.

very true when i check my brothers ecu its very obvious where the stop point is.But someone must have F**ked up my ecu screw because the first time I check my ecu there was no stop point and I turned very very slowly to try and feel the slightest resistance, didnt feel any. I just have to count now.
