emilianonp are you referring to the issue referenced in the other thread?

https://maxima.org/forums/4th-genera...-door-key.html

On my 1999 maxima I have to have a transponder key present in the ignition for the fuel injectors to fire. If I don't have the transponder key then the car won't send fuel to the engine. Is this what you mean? Is it the same 1995 maxima as mentioned in the other thread?

I have a 96. My car wanted me to lock and unlock the drivers door by using the key.

I have a normal key, not a key fob. The current to the injectors, after running for a little bit, the current gets cut off and the car doesn't start. I have read that it may have something to do with the anti-theft system and I would like to know what exactly I need to check with regard to the anti-theft system? My car runs for about 6-7 miles and then shuts off. I have changed all of the electrical parts to rule out issues and there is no "check engine" code/light. When the car is stopped, I reset the computer, opening the two front doors and the trunk, and by doing this the car will turn on and go a little bit further.

What I really need to know is how do I do a thorough check of my anti-theft system.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
