Using Nitrous

I want to see how many of you guys use Nitrous on the road when you are street racing somebody. I know it's illegal as ****, but I know that some of you guys do it. And if you guys somehow get caught, what happens? Fines? Arrest? I'm still new to the nitrous stuff, so let me know.

My friend got arrested when the cops got him on the bottle....thats why everything of mine is hidden...technically the gauges can be "prob. cause" if the cop wants to be an a$$.

Hmm...i don't know where you live. But in Virginia, cops have to have probable cause to search the trunk. Just because you got caught speeding, doesn't mean he can search the trunk or inside the car. If you can produce a driver's license and car registration. They can't impound the car or search the car.

Plus, when I get pulled over. I said it's a show car and I don't drive it everyday. I got pulled over a few times and that excuse worked.

I have used my nos on the streets a few times, I raced a 2001-2 celica GT-S and beat him. I dont have a bottle opener so I have to get out and go to the trunk every time I run it. I need a bottle opener so I can close it fast and avoid a fine. Take Care

hey for you people with nos installed i have soom questions if you guys can help me. i have read all the information about how to install and run it etc... but i want to get personal opinions on nos.

1. when did you guys have nos installed in your cars
2. how much nos are you guys squeezing??? (shot?)
3. have there been any extra repairs to your motor as a result from squeezing. (replacing head gaskets, motor seals etc...)
4. for the auto matics have there been any tranny problems with or without valve body.
5. on average how often do you squeeze.

these are just main questions i have. i don't have another car i can drive so i want to find out what people have experienced. i want to put nos but i want to know exactly what i will be getting myself into. so if there are any other things i can be on a look out for that will be great.

i am thinking to start out at 50 shot but i know me and im gonna want more after about a day so please help me!!!!!

thanks for the help

I am running out of room....my arm rest box is taken up by a Fire Extinguisher. Actually I keep my insurance card behind the passanger seat (the map pocket). Everything else is gone...no spare either...just my AAA card

1. Less then a year ago
2. Atleast once a week
3. Nope (knock on carbon fiber)
4. No problems...and I have the stock auto tranny with no mods.
5. Umm #2 repeat...
6. I go through a bottle every week...almost

I usually have 75. The past 2 months I have been running 100. Last night I was going to put in 125, but my bottle was empty..that might be a sign not to try it, but i'm not sure. I think if I want to go to 125 I will have to upgrade my fuel pump...

Yeah you probably should upgrade, depending on what pump you have already. I am getting the ZEX pump (because I have a ZEX kit) and it can handle up to 650hp it says so im sure my 75 shot will be ok, ill probably move to a 100 shot shortly after that. Take Care

how much hp does a shot give you?

50 shot=50hp....some kits(like nx wet) are underrated and make more power than the shot.

Shots are rated for the crank.
