Installed Jet V-force
#1
I just installed the Jet V-force in less than an hour. I did couple of hard accerations with the V-force on and then off to feel the difference in gains. The car certaintly pulls harder at all gears, especially noticable from 3rd gear and up. I would say that performance gain is equivalent to an intake and exhaust, maybe more, but would need dyno to be certain.

V-force is a power control module that optimizes the ingnition sparks and the air/fuel ratio. I think it's similar to the HKS AFC except HKS does not optimize ignition.

Re: If it is easy to install....
Installation can be done by a novice. The hardest part is drilling a hole in the firewell for the wires.

Jet may be great for big block Domestic cars, but from my experience, you don't realize any power from it on a smaller displacement Japanese engine/ECU.

Yep, I'd be pretty darn skeptical too. I once scanned one of their so called custom Honda chips and came up with an exact copy of an old Dinan program. I scanned a different one and it was stock mapping. They really have no clue as to what they're doing over there and I'd be worried about engine damage if they are messing with your timing and fuel curves.

MaxSpeedSE,Nice Sig Pic. I'd install my Jet V-force in her to see how much HP gains I can get.....Just kidding (don't take it personal) Like MaxSpeedSE said,I'd like to see real proof also. Before purchasing. Does this unit work like a FIELDS VTEC Controller/APEXi VAFC????....

There is never a need to drill through the fire wall for sipmle wiring! There is a boot for the harness above and behind the the fuse box. It goes into the drivers side wheel well, from there you route it to the engine compartment. Jack up the car take off the front drivers side wheel. Then remove the slpash gaurd and you will see it. It's 2 to 2-1/2 inches in diameter. Just cut through the rubber run your wires and seal it up with silicone.

I'd hate to throw lots of love on something like this chip only to dyno and actually find out it doesn't give any gains, and may in fact cause you to lose power in some areas.
I think mods should lock all threads on this topic until someone (NOT JET!) dynos it. If it does "make the car pull harder in all gears" I'm sure there'll be a backorder on these things in the near future as we all pile on the V-chip wagon.
