I just installed the Jet V-force in less than an hour. I did couple of hard accerations with the V-force on and then off to feel the difference in gains. The car certaintly pulls harder at all gears, especially noticable from 3rd gear and up. I would say that performance gain is equivalent to an intake and exhaust, maybe more, but would need dyno to be certain.

V-force is a power control module that optimizes the ingnition sparks and the air/fuel ratio. I think it's similar to the HKS AFC except HKS does not optimize ignition.

Thanks for the info! This sounds like an affordable mod that adds a nice HP gain KULE!

A few ?'s...Do you have to have anything else to go with it, did it kill your gas mileage, and what did it take to install. For $240, I might have to make it my next mod...

Nismomax, it't great to see another "actual" V-force module user. Several people have inquired about it, and I gave them the info. I know exactly what your talking about by the car pulling harder in all gears!! Yes, some one who can relate!! Like that Infinity commercial, "Own one, and you'll understand" Btw, I installed it right under the steering wheel column, it's a perfect fit....

Installation can be done by a novice. The hardest part is drilling a hole in the firewell for the wires.

If it's that easy to install, you should dyno your car, install it, and then get another dyno hopefully within the same day.

Didn't you have to send your ecu off to get it re-programmed?

JET is a joke on most car forums. *I am not saying they don't make some legitimate products* If I saw some dyno gains I'd buy this week.

On the 3rd Gen Eclipse GT, which I am also an owner of, the Jet is pure and simple junk. I am a Moderator at www.eclipseforums.org and I am very familiar with Jet, the V-force, and the fact that on multiple dyno'd Eclipse's. The Jet didn't do a single thing.

Jet may be great for big block Domestic cars, but from my experience, you don't realize any power from it on a smaller displacement Japanese engine/ECU.

Yep, I'd be pretty darn skeptical too. I once scanned one of their so called custom Honda chips and came up with an exact copy of an old Dinan program. I scanned a different one and it was stock mapping. They really have no clue as to what they're doing over there and I'd be worried about engine damage if they are messing with your timing and fuel curves.

I had one on my 98 GSR and all it did was trip the SES light...I hated the damn thing. It felt a little faster when it worked, but it rarely worked without screwing up the computer and causing limp mode.

There is never a need to drill through the fire wall for sipmle wiring! There is a boot for the harness above and behind the the fuse box. It goes into the drivers side wheel well, from there you route it to the engine compartment. Jack up the car take off the front drivers side wheel. Then remove the slpash gaurd and you will see it. It's 2 to 2-1/2 inches in diameter. Just cut through the rubber run your wires and seal it up with silicone.

There is no need to jack up the car. It can easily be done on the ground.

funny how people will spend $240 on something but won't pop the cash to see if it actually did anything!

I'd hate to throw lots of love on something like this chip only to dyno and actually find out it doesn't give any gains, and may in fact cause you to lose power in some areas.

I think mods should lock all threads on this topic until someone (NOT JET!) dynos it. If it does "make the car pull harder in all gears" I'm sure there'll be a backorder on these things in the near future as we all pile on the V-chip wagon.
