i read that the piaa super plasmas are a match but i bought them and they are purple also i bought some piaas super white for my corners but they are tooo blue, anything that would match better, thanks

^^ pretty much...but if your talking about matching Halogen H3 Bulbs....the best/closest match I have seen where the *discontinued* PIAA Super Plasmas.. you most definately bought the PIAA Super GT-X.
-- Hence ATM...there isnt a great well known halogen match for our fogs to our HIDs..

there is no way to get a true match for fog lights and headlights I have both at around 5500 I would say and they match when people look at it directly but when you see a reflection off of another cars bumper the fogs are a little dimmer. This is because the fog lights have a different casing than the headlights and it tinges the light output a little.

+1 to what reket said...if u want an exact match, you need to get phillips d2r bulbs. Someone on here put them in their fogs and i believe his user name is macalert or something...looks nice.

Yes you have to dremel the back of the fog lights casing a little or get the super slim HID's I have 5000k on both and like I said still not a 100% match i'd say like 95%

Those Pilot Motorsport fake HID H3s they sell at Pep Boys are a pretty good match for the price ($29.99). True HIDs are the only way to get a close to perfect match.

they are 6k hid, i tried to match the 6k d2rs i bought
i tried 5k and 8k and like the 6000 the best. although the 5k fogs were a very close match to the stock 4300k
thanks for the comments

you can get the h3c or h3 mini bulb direct fit, its what i have.
thats a entire hid kit though. no cutting of the fogs themselves
i think paradox systems has a kit for 130$ that fits the fogs with no mod.

superwhite LEDs from autolumination.com will match the factory and 6000k HIDs pretty well

i have them both in my sidemarkers and parking lights... for some reason it seems to have a slight green tinge in this picture? in real life they have a slight blue tinge and look very nice with the headlights, which are aftermarket 4300k.. TO THE OP: if you don't care about output from your fog lights, you can get some superwhite LED H3 fog light bulbs that will match your HIDs very nicely.. i'm thinking about that myself

all this illegal side marker talk

black out stock lenses and keep bulbs in....they will still reflect and light up the proper colors

HID Projector headlights

I had a question, I seen some nice (black housing projector) headlights and I was wondering if they will be a perfect fit to a 2000 GXE or is it just for SE?

mounting holes are indentical in GXE & SE...they will fit perfectly no matter what model of 2000 maxima you have.

Hey, I've tried pretty much every bulb setup there is... looking for that perfect match and the closest match was the overly expensive PIAA extreme white which aren't sold here anymore! BabyBoyWS6 has the same setup I run>8000K HID buld upgrade for headlights and 8000K HID kit for the foglights. I spent some $$$ going with Extralights but their product is excellent!!! You'll find out there is, no comparison between HID and Halogen they're 2 different species. If you wanna go cheap, some 4300K or 5000K H3's will do from eBay, HID-World, HID express, etc, lots of companys out there but if they don't offer a warranty screw them. Good Luck!

It's a thing of beauty to light up the open highway for those whom are still much burning candles! So they can see too!!! It's one of the best mods I've spent $$$ on! Almost everyone down here in Houston is running HID, I'm even running it on my 86.5 Nissan Hardbody w/ the help of Hella 2 piece headilght conversion.
