How to ground the starter? (making grounding kit)

I'm making my own grounding kit. I already grounded the battery negative to chassis and alternator ground to chassis (and have noticed smoother revs). I've been hearing that grounding the starter can result in quicker starts so for those of you who had done it, I am wondering how you did it.

Somewhere I read that the starter is grounded through its case, so where would be the best place to attach the ground? Should I attach the ground cable to one of the screws/small bolts that go into the case, or one of the two big mounting bolts?

Thanks

On the case I think it's an 8mm long bolt it goes all the way through the starter then to the frame there should be a threaded hole close to it about 9" away you will see it when you start looking

I would think with the bolts into the trans it should be suffient already! Check the resistance between the negative post and the starter with your volt ohmmeter!

Here's a pic of my grounding kit from the chasis to the 8mm bolt on the starter. Hope this helps.

theres an 8mm bolt on the starter based on the ^^ pic.

it's one long *** bolt, just take it out and attach the ground there.

Thanks guys. I found the 8mm bolt and mounted the ground cable to it. Haven't noticed any difference in starting, but definitely doesn't hurt to have extra grounding.
