Sound clips should be a pretty low priority here. Is a sound clip really going to impact your choice of headers? Whatever floats your boat I guess.

If anything, my guess is that they'll make things sound deeper and louder just like the way the Cattmans or Hotshots do, but it also depends on the rest of your set-up ie. resonator and muffler, how that will impact the overall tone.

The issue has not been addressed yet. Mentioned, but we do not have an answer.

I'm interested as well.

Nope. We're SOL. He owns a jack, but apparently won't shoot pics for us. So far, we got nothing. No pics, no dyno, nothing. All talk, no action for the .org.

I think there was a dyno but the runs were done in 3rd instead of 4th gear, so it remains inconclusive. I suppose he is not obligated to post anything if he doesn't want to, and we can't do anything about it.

I'm wondering what kinda pics are people looking for? Installed pics? They'd look exactly the same as the OBX advertised pics, only they'd be under a car all bolted up. I don't think I'd hold off buying these just because one guy didn't post pics of what they looked like under his car. I'd be more worried about proper dynos, and a direct comparison between these and Cattman. They're less than half of the Cattman's cost, so just buy them and post your butt dyno and real dyno results.

yea i lost intrest in posting too....simply because i posted what i had and it was an issue with it being a 3rd gear pull....based on my knowledge and from what people told me...i wouldve made more power in with a 4th gear pull.......

speakin from experiance 2....dynoed my car yesterday and i made 5 more horsepower when i dynoed in 4th gear

but all imma say is the headers are worth gettin...if u dnt want to fine if u do fine....

I think what I (and others) wanted to see was how the crossmember needed to be modified for these to fit. I think it's fair for people to want to know exactly how good or bad the fitment is before purchasing something.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter what gear you pull on the dyno. The software already knows the gear ratios when the car does it's pull. I know this because when I did my original 2 dynos I was using the stock 6mt from an 03. After I did a few mods and swapped the tranny for an 06 6mt with a different gear ratio, the winpep software popped up a warning window indicating that the old runs and the new runs used a different gear ratio. According to guy who tuned my car, it doesn't matter what gear you do your pull. But most people want the 4th gear or as close to 1:1 as you can get because you get a "better looking" curve. A first gear run is much too short and you don't get the right shape on the dyno chart. I told the dyno guy I wanted to try to do a second gear pull because it seems that 2nd gear on our cars pulls really hard. He said it would still show the same horsepower numbers, but the curve wouldn't look right. Same peaks, different curve. (or something like that). I'm sure some other dyno experts could confirm or deny what I am saying.

If you guys want to see datdude20's 3rd gear dyno vs. my 4th gear Cattman Gen II dyno, here it is:

His curve is in blue, mine is in red.

I'll let y'all comment first.

My mods were GAB, Cattman Gen II headers, Frankencar b-pipe, Megan Racing rear section.

His mods:
homeade intake
greddy catback
gutted cat
SSIM
OBX headers

The HP difference indicates a nice parallel advantage for Cattman. Torque? Can you believe the gap @ 3500 RPM? Incredible difference.

The apparent top-end advantage of OBX is very short-lived.

Advantage: Cattman.

SSIM vs Non SSIM man. I've seen TQ #s lower in 3rd vs 4th gear on a few cars too. If the Cattmans made more power great, they should they are 2x the price of the OBX and a great product from one of the most pleasent sponsors on the site. But like it or not the OBX headers still proved to make great power for the money.
Bang for buck?

Pretty much. Everything else being equal, an SSIM-equipped motor will make less torque below close to 6k comapared to one with a functioning VIAS. Says nothing about the headers unfortunately.

Yeah, I admittedly didn't realize that until I searched and found his mod list, which is when I edited my post. Maybe I need to do some runs with a SSIM too then. Anyone got a Sawzall I can use this weekend?

I wouldn't call that an advantage. You having the SSIM makes this comparison pretty much invalid. I'll see if I have someone else's run files we can use to compare against yours.

Yes, the Cattmans are showing more torque and more area under the curve, but the torque loss effect of the SSIM makes yours a completely different set up. Like nismology said, we can't compare the two headers because of that.

The only thing this comparison shows is that you need to do something to properly take advantage of that SSIM.
