I picked my Max up from the body shop today and she looks a million times better! I'm totally satisfied with the decision.

I forgot to take some before pics so I had the shop take some for me before starting any work. Once they email them to me I'll post some before/after pics.

I am aware of the paint. There's spots there that when it happened paint came off already. I was messing with the suction cup one and was able to get a tiny bit popped out but gunna have to drill holes and do it with that style popper. Hate to do that but fortunately I have a bit of experience with bondo work so won't be too bad the worst part will be finding the time to do it!

Had a fun filled weekend. Decided to change my coolant with nissan green when i did my amsoil oil change. 103k miles on the car now with no prior knowledge when it was last changed. Bleed the system all was good. Went for a drive...i smell coolant. Looked everywhere see stream of coolant on the tranny. Its coming from the coolant crossover tube. Went to the dealer bought 2 new gaskets. Had hell of a time taking that pipe off and changing them. Them clamps can be a pita. Finished that up. Sprung another leak. One of the clamps wasnt on all the way. Figured that out fast so no problem.

Bought a new 2004 valve cover for the front. Jeez i remember when i did the rear it was only 30 something dollars now the front damn near 170. Changed that out. Dang my engine looks clean inside. Managed to break a bolt off while tightening. My inch lb torque wrench seemed to malfunction i dont know. Drilled that out. Found a bolt that fit. No leaks or anything good to go.

Went for a drive...i smell coolant again. Looked under the hood. Dangit is my radiator leaking now. yup it is. 13 year old original i guess its time. Really didnt want to buy one at autozone but had to choice i cant wait for a rad to be shipped to my house. installed that bleed it again. Been driving it all day and so far so good.

Really wasnt planning on doing all this work but hey things happen. Specially on older cars. I had a blast tho!

Finally got it back from paint. That didn't go well. Promised me a one month turn around - got it back just after two and I've got issues with window trim, overspray, faint swirls and so on. I'm fairly pleased but I'm wondering if it was worth the time and aggravation.

Finally got my replacement headlights in yesterday and put them in this morning! People will be happy no more driving with my high beams on! Worked on getting the dent popped out but still havent been able to buy the right popper for it! When I get paid Wednesday Im gunna get that popper and some paint and repaint some interior trim and the trim around the side mirrors! Hopefully this time next week I will have the dent fixed and won'tbe rubbing my wheel when iI hit speed bumps!

I buffed my headlights and foglights with the harbor friend polisher kit.
It was like 35 bux beats doing it by and and it's never been this clear.
Even the fogs. I'm going to order the sanding pads so I can clear the lights. Never have to do this again.

Replaced the stock air filter. First time since I bought the car back in 2008.

But it's not as bad as it sounds. I take the air filter out every spring and fall and blow it out instead of replacing it.

^I wish I took a picture of mine. It seemed to be OEM and was caked. I'm not exagerating it was like a bucket of sand was feed into the intake.

Bleed the left front line just to test out my adapter.
Cola? motor oil? brake fluid....

Brake fluid does get dark like that after years of being in the system and getting heated up and cooling. You might want to consider a complete flush with fresh fluid.

Not much fluid in 1 line.
Second pic is whole system, plus some extra because front left had bubbles in it for some reason.

Power bleeder. Get one.
You don't have to pump the peddle while you and your idiot buddy say <PUMPING < OK< OPEN < GO < PUMPING
and argue how many times you should pump it, or worry if he's bleeding good.
This would have taken a ridiculous amount of time that way.

6gen valve covers on the front to match the rear bank

Hoping it removes some oil burning. I went through 3 quarts in less than 2k miles. PCV is new, have 6gen valve covers and everything else looks good, did a flush- hoping this helps reduce the burn. I have been running full syn for a long long time- debating switching to a blend. I need to also start getting in the habit of checking my oil level bi-weekly until I get this under control.

I also buttoned up a suspension squeak and placed the air funnel item right next to the hood latch- hoping to get more cool air in the engine compartment.

On the plus side- car is running very strong. "Go" mods include OBX v2 headers, SRS cat back, NWP 75mm TB/spacers/BOP, STS mod, Berk intake with K&N, H-Techs/Illuminas, 6gen Valve Covers, Fidenza flywheel, Exedy clutch, B16 SE-R wheels and sticky Sumitomos

Installed new 300zx hood bumpers off eBay for $12 shipped (don't buy the rip-off Maxima ones from Courtesy Parts). My old ones were hardened & missing big chunks. I read on the forum that these fit! It got rid of the annoying squeaks!

decided to calculate fuel economy on a road trip this last weekend. 25.5 mpg, ran just under 410 miles on 16+ gallons, mostly interstate, minimal city driving. i do have crossbars and a bike rack on top (no fairing) so i'm sure that drops it slightly from what i could be getting.
