ballast replacement

Is there any way to replace the ballast without taking the headlights out altogether? Is rather not have to remove the bumper cover, etc...

I dont think so. You dont have to remove the bumper cover though. There is 2 bolts on the top and if you have the security strap theres 2 bolts that can be accessed if you pull down the splash guards. I recommend taking the guards down and looking for the strap first so you dont break the assembly.

Thanks. There's actually a really good "how to" video thru A1 car parts or something on Youtube, and they say you do have to take the bumper cover off. If I don't really have to though that will make life a lot easier. They talk about the straps so I'll check for those as you suggest.

Yea it can be done without the bumper coming off but just be sure to check for the strap. I've done it several times just in the past few days.

Yep, it's very easy to do without removing the bumper. Just be careful, there is a tab on the outermost side of the headlight and it can scratch the fender when removing and installing if you're not careful.

No need to take the bumper off. You might need to take few plastic fasterner that hold the grill close to the headlight to pull the light out. You want to pull the light upward after the side pin allignment that goes to the fender is off.

PM if you need OEM ballasts replacemnet, I have few of these.

Did your ballast burn out from old age?
