Recently my car has been making a funny sound from the pulley area, like a squealing.......the pulley was shaking some, so we adjusted the belt on it, but the sound is still there, I pm not sure if I need a new pulley(idler or tensioner) and if I need the bearing or the whole assembly...... So if you can help please do

 

Did you replace new belts???

And if not just buy new ones and check for cracks

 

If the pulley looks like it is wobbling, it is coming apart and needs to be replaced.

 

No I did not buy a new belt, and I'm not sure which pulley to buy.....here's a video I took the other day....

 

That is an interesting sound. Sound like the pulley is gone. Hopefully more people that have had problems with that jump in and confirm.

 

Once you take off the belt it should be fairly obvious what the problem is. There is only one ldler pulley and if it spins freely and doesnt have any slop its good. I bet yours isnt.

Ok I'll get the belt off, then we'll look......so you think it's the idler pulley or tensioner? Ik it's hard to tell

 

The belt was good, I put a new idler pulley on but the sound is still there, so I'm not entirely sure

 

Apparently you have a defective crank pulley...Your pulley is a 2 piece component (The inner Hub and the outer belt shell) which is separated and bonded together by an elastomeric layer!!!! The 2 pieces are no longer bonded together the inner and outer are now slipping upon each other! You need a new crank pulley so please inspect your crank pulley first....

 

Definitely looks like it.

Aftermarket UDPs pulleys are much cheaper than this stock crap.
