Did you check to make sure the mixer door is moving.

You need to be more descriptive here. Does it work sometimes, not at all? Is the compressor cycling? How do you know it doesn't need a recharge?

Try this it's very common for people just to keep adding 134 thinking it'll get colder if I add more 134. That's wrong, you can add too much and have the system over pressurized. Try slowly bleeding some out and keep an eye on the clutch to engage on the compressor. Once it, does stop bleeding if it stays on don't take anymore out. If it stays on for a bit and kicks off again bleed a little more until it stays on. Also make sure both fans are on anytime ac is running.

Yeah, 4 cans...wtf lol. It should kick on with one can while it's sucking. Less refrigerant = colder.

It had to be running if you were able to get that much refrigerant in it, no?

If it doesn't kick on at all, then clutch relay sounds the most obvious.

Yea I think people are under the impression that if they put more in it'll make the ac colder. Unfortunately it'll end up costing you on some cars, unlike our cars the compressor kicks out, other cars don't and you can accidentally burn it up.

4 cans...?

That's WAY overcharged. Hopefully a seal didn't blow somewhere.

The system should be checked thoroughly anytime there's insufficient cooling. Sounds as though you need to organize yourself a bit better. I read to always check the circuits/harness thoroughly before replacing anything.

What part of the country are you in? I'm sure one of our honest org members on here would be willing to help a lady out. At least it could be diagnosed properly and possibly fixed if within said helpers capabilities. There's plenty of gentlemen on here.
