My trunk was working fine up until today, for some reason I cannot open the trunk with the key fob. There's no clunking noise to indicate the trunk was opened and this goes for all sets of keys fobs.

I can however still open the trunk with the trunk release from the driver's door, so I'm not sure if something failed.

All other functions on the key fob work such as locking and unlocking and rolling down the windows.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, that would be greatly appreciated

 

Update as of today, the trunk opens with the key fob again. I guess it didn't work that day due to the hot weather we had, it was in the 90s all day
