Not sure that I can make it this afternoon. If I can get there, it'll be before 2pm. If not, can you ask when mine will be ready?

Just got back from Technosquare, good news and bad news....

BAD NEWS: He couldn't do anything for me today, nothing he had matched up to my ECU. There have been 2 upgrades to my ECU since it was produced.

GOOD NEWS: He's going to crack the updated version and update my ECU and then do it. He said probably a few days until he gets the info from Nissan and cracks it. He won't have to send my ECU off to Japan he can do it on site.

So I'll be waiting to hear from him.... :bang:

Tadashi looked under my hood and said I should put my stock intake on and I would be better off?? Any thoughts?

the reason might be cause of the lean issue, the intake will lean your AF alot more than stock box..

but tell him to drop more fuel in it, and that you don't care about the mpg..

It was pointed out by SR20DEN that the 350Z has 335cc injectors and ours has 315 cc injectors. How about replacing the injectors with 350Z injectors to correct the lean mixture problem. Why do the Zs have larger injectors?

he also said to use a different map though, I'm getting more fuel without changing anything once I send my ecu back...

What do you mean it just "shuts off?" When does it shut off? Like at any random moment it'll just off? Seems odd

I set it and it becomes "unset" and it is at random times. I noticed it for first time today. I thought I was bumping the pedals but I wasn't

Ill have to call them Monday. Got kinda busy today. Ill try to see if they'll get me in at same time as u. Im also wondering, do we have to have the ECU specifically tuned for our cars depending on our mods?

I asked the same question and was told it needed to be dyno'ed first and then send the dyno sheet/mods list.....

You don't have to get the dyno, but you would have to tell them what you want via email or phone call. With a dyno file, they can look at it and map for you, since our cars don't have same dyno result. I did give him mine.

Deus, basically he would want to know how much do you hate paying for gas Tadashi can map to what you want. I guess you'll be sticking to the same settings as the 350Z one.

RH: How does the ECU feel now? Im going down there Wednesday at 3. If anyone wants to come down, lemme know. I really like the way this driveswith the 350Z computer, so I hope its as good as if not better. Also, I notice the rev limiter kicks in at about 7,000. Lovin it!!!

I went today, with progress. The only problem is I'm getting CEL w/ the reflash. I'm going back Thursday to finish up, then the ECU flash will be available for 5AT's with or without TCS.

I guess the 6MT will have to wait for you, Deus. You might be there a while.

J, 4AT, they are waiting for equipment and software. Just the matter of when.

$495.

It kept throwing code so I didn't get a real chance to test it. I'm running stock mapping w/ throttle correction, tranny shift adjustment and raised rev limiter right now. The car pulls hard all the way to redline and shift gear w/ no delay.

It was getting late so I told him I'll be back on Thursday to finish. Yours is sitting on his desk waiting for you.

BTW, if you see the silver M35 there. It will have 2 turbos and a 6MT soon, among other things. They are fabricating that car in to a drift car.

I thought the $495 was the normal price but a GP was in the works pending ironing out all the bugs with the ECU's?

Looks like it will stick since that was the 5.5 gen price. Tek's dyno showed increase in performance, though I don't think it's not completely ironed out yet. Deus will get his tomorrow, and I will get mine completed Thursday. I will get mine dyno next week. If we see 10+ HP across the band, it would be the cheapest HP per $ mods yet.

Have they provided any actual data as to what exact parameters were changed? And if so, by how much (data = # value)

TS typically has a program # they include with each ECU. They still haven't been forthcoming to me as to what they changed.

Like I said, it's not completed yet. It was still throwing CEL.

I understand. Tadashi was tuning the ECU yesterday, but it kept throwing CEL (check sum value error), so we never took it on the road to test. The timing is advanced about 10* right now, but could be more. We didn't get to work on the AFR, etc. That's why I'm going in early Thursday. so he can have the whole day to work on it. Deus is going in tomorrow, maybe he'll have better luck and pass it down to me.

What facts/data do you have on this?

I would like to see and know what parameters are changed. i.e a prinout of what they're doing/did.

Your ECU is different than mine, hence the prototyping.

So now would be a good place for them to start stating and giving out data as to what exactly they change. I don't care how they do it, as this would hurt their business, but at least knowledlge of what they changed would be nice.
