Maxima Automatic Gear Selector Wobble / Replacement?
Shifter twist?
I know there is a TSB on this... but I was wondering...
my shifter twists... maybe about 10 degrees. Does any one elses? How do you stop it?
Are there nice replacements too?
Thanks!

Yeah, my shifter **** twists as well. It happened after I took it to the auto body shop where they broke the little clip that keeps it in place. It hasn't bugged me enough to get it replaced yet. Besides, I like the stock look of it...

I did a small write up on a quick, 10 minute fix on this last fall. You may be able to search for it.
The groove for the Ohm clip is in the wrong spot on the shifter stalk. What you need to do is pull down the lower silver collar and take the ohm clip out and let the shifter **** go down as far as it can go. Mark the stalk thru the slits in the shifter **** with a pen or sharpie. Take the shifter **** off and take a hack saw and make the new grooves in the stalk at the newly identified marks. Make them the same shape and depth as the factory cuts. Put the shifter **** back on and put the Ohm clip on making sure it sits in the new cuts. Pull the lower collar back up and you're done.
Others here have purchased new ***** but I really like the feel of the OEM ****. Save the $100 and buy something else. Just my $.02.
