Spark Plugs
#41
K & N filters are good filters. I don't use one and never want to. Your plugs look like what my friend who use to work for a filter maker said they would. This what he told me, Your car will suck the oil right up and if they dry out then you are in even more trouble. just buy a WIX and replace it every 10k.

Also, I wonder if some of that oil might be from your K&N filter. You say, "Also clean and reoil K&N Filter every 5K," and you are now at 49k. Do the math, it's almost 10 times that you have lubed up your filter. Some of that oil is invarilby going to get down in there, especially if you are generous with the lub.
Anyway done now like night and day difference which i did not expect.
Rough Idle GONE. Lag Gone.
Set speed control @ 65 and was getting 28MPG with a computer reset @65 so we will see, Same before was 23Mpg.
Throttle body and Manifold also Cleaned like new.
and NGK Irridium Plugs.
Throttle is instant now runnung great.
One thing I did notice was Nissan Gorrilad the spark plugs WAY too tight.
I will check the gaps on the old plugs tommorow and let you know.
Also engine threw 4 codes on restart. I cleared them and drove 15 mins they did not come back.

That is exactly what I thought but I checked the tube going to throttle body clean and dry inside.

Again, congrats on the benefits of your hard work.

If you really want to add, or I should say maximize, the performance of your engine, then cut the overall weight down of the car. Get the crap out of it. You can also cut some serious weight with new rims/wheels. The resistance that the stock wheels place against the inertia that is generated by our engine is over the top. Nissan would certainly do better to figure out some lower weight rims to add to the overall performance of the engine. For instance, my winter steel rims weight almost half as much as my summer stock rims. Kind of sad and certainly noticeable with acceleration from a dead stop or while already in motion.

Do you know how spark plugs work bud? They fire continuously with the cylinder. They play a role in performance and gas mileage. Your probably thinking of a starter.

I know everyone here likes the NGKs, but I put Bosch Platinum 4 in my car 30K miles ago and I love them, no problems and excellent gas mileage, 100% street driving, with heavy foot I get 18MPG, only freeway at ~70mph I get 28MPG...can't complain.
