VIAS Emissions tank hose connector broke

Hi all. (2008 3.5L vq35 Maxima)

The central male connector on the emissions vacuum tank broke off. I got to reading you can just delete the whole thing with a block off cover in place of the butterfly valve.
I don't have a block off plate so I have simply blocked up the hoses coming off of the butterfly valve. Will operating like this temporarily be an issue?

Thanks

Buy a new tank. Block off kits move the peak power and is not a mod for everyone's driving style.
