How much did you pay? *New car shopper*
Hello all new to the forum and in the market for a new vehicle. Really looking into a barely used 2010 maxima SV with sport package in crimson black. Its got 3,400 miles and there asking $28,311 for it. Kinda random figure, but wondering what you all think. I haven't begun to haggle yet, but was thinking more around $26,000. I will be trading in a 2008 toyota tacoma 4 door SR 5 pick up and hope to get around $20,000 for it. Thanks in advance.
Paid $32,128 + TTT. 2011 SV + Premium package. Deep Black and Charcoal interior.
I used Consumer Reports build and buy option to get dealers into the under invoice range
then went to a local dealer and got it.

I just bought a 2009 SV Sport with every option possible and 23,000 miles for $26,000. I absolutely love this thing. I do miss my Tahoe but I'm gonna be doing a lot of highway driving for work and 13 MPG just wasn't gonna work!
only depressing thing I've noticed is, at least with the 2009 with 22k on the motor I just bought 2 weeks ago, the mileage is really not the best. i get 17 in city and 22 on the highway...and i did a test after resetting it to make sure it wasnt a "lead foot". im gonna look at a K&N filter but other than that I don't know what else to do besides take it to Nissan and have them look at it. you think it's worth bringing to them? I guess I was expecting the 22-28 range that most other people seem to be enjoying.
the fuel consumption with the max is horrible, in next year or two there will be cars just as powerful and big that will get at the least 26 mpg and 35 highway.
maxima's value will go down hard especially with the need for premium fuel.

We got the premium package w/o navigation, I think sticker price was 37 something
we traded in a 07 sentra in good condition with 60K miles.
We got approved for %2.9 with 72 month @ 563 a month.
our car was worth about 7-8K. I think I could have gotten it down to about ~540 a month.
my mistake was (stupid me, I get so pissed everytime I think about it) is that I told them the max monthly payment we can do, not the min (which was 500) so when they saw the 563, they gave us 563. I bet I could have gone close to 520...
UGH!!!!!!
oh well.
so 563@72 months with %2.9 interest. Car was worth 37,xxx and we traded a '07 sentra SL with 60K miles

I hear ya. we got this car for the S/O and I got me a Z06. I'll be doing about 60 miles a day for work. Good thing on the highway at around 65-70mph, the corvette gets about 30mpg lol
Paid $32,999 + TTL for a 2011 SV with Premium Pkg and Tech Package. I used Truecar.com and this site to narrow in on a price. I got the price over the phone by working with two different dealerships around town. (Baltimore) I probably could have gotten it for a little less but overall I am happy.
i got the best deal. i was getting my 2010 maxima for $26,100 and the weekend i was getting it they had a promotion that if the new england patriots returned either the opening kickoff of the opening 2nd half kick off for a touch down you would get $5K cash back. Well needless to say they returned it so i pretty much got my brand new 2010 maxima S for $21,100

Went shopping yesterday but didn't bite. I was looking at a 2011 SV with sport and monitor package (no nav). I offered 34k otd (works out to about 31,300 + ttl). They came back with 35k otd so I walked. Is my price reasonable?
Greetings all. This is my first post on the site and it's about what will be my second Maxima (first one was a "way back when" new, white '87 with 5 spd).
Last Friday I put a dep down on a Slate Grey/Black leather 2011 SV w/ Prem; Prem Tech; mats and splash guards for an agreed on price of $33.5K + TTL in central Mass. I used my Credit Union's "Auto Advisor", who provides a free buying service for customers (he's paid by the dealers). He did all the leg work and paperwork for the buy.
I thought $33.5K was a very decent price for a $39.7K MSRP car, as I went in to the process (and let my AA know without telling him the $ number) with a TrueCar est price for my area as low as $33.7K. Seeing that I was already under TC I didn't squeeze it any lower and, after accepting the price; going through some shenanigans with the dealer trying to bump it up and my walking away only for them to come back and make the original deal, think I got it for as low I could. My AA shopped $33.5K around to his other Nissan connections and none would touch that price.
Selling price includes a $500 deduct by using Nissan finance, however I will flip the loan over to my CU within the next 30 days for a lower rate and no pre-pay charge.
Funny time of year for me to buy a car but wanted to test the end of year market and it gathered momentum. Merry Xmas to me!

Yeah I got a sweet deal on the 2011 oh and I got 2.9 Nissan Financing. I'll only pay 3200 in finance charges...

Ya the sound of this deal makes me cringe! Dealers love talking payment, this way your negotiating on a number that has many variables that you are not aware of if payment is the conversation.
It goes like this:
Talk price of car, not terms. Once you agree on a price introduce your trade in. Once they offer you what your trade is worth talk terms.
2011 Maxima 3.5 SV Winter Frost (white) exterior and Charcoal (black) interior.
It pretty much had it all, and was sitting on the showroom floor with a red bow on it, includes Premium Package, Premium Technology Package, Rear Spoiler and Floor Mats and Trunk Mat.
MSRP $39,910.00
Selling Price -$32,273.10
OTD Price -$35,199.00
It was a gift from Santa, so it wasn't financed even though there was another $500.00 rebate from NMAC.

I went into the dealership in manhattan initially with $15k cash in hand and i was treated like a step-child. I began discussing the color and once they told me they only had a 2009 model in silver I said I needed it in white. Although I went slightly over my target budget I decided to take the 2011 3.5SV with the premium & tech package...The first time I walked in they talked to me like I never did any research on the vehicle and quoted me at $41k so I walked out. A few days later i spoke with the friend of a co-worker who owns a nissan dealership out in Pa. and we we're able to get the price down to $34k. Then I got a follow-up call from the guys in manhattan and they asked what it would take for them to re-gain MY business..so I told them that I had struck a deal with a dealer in Pa. and they're selling it to me @ $33.5k...so he told me that he can match that price and save me the trip...SOLD!!!!!...Got it in all white with the panoramic roof and all the bells and whistles...I honestly feel like no matter what I won on this deal, the car feels and looks like it's worth more than the $33.5k that I paid for it.
Been thinking about modifying my baby pretty soon and wanted to get any suggestions from anyone willing to offer as to where i should start...i'm going to purchase me a k & n cold air intake this coming wknd...was then thinking about changing the stock lights to some LED's..any suggestions?

I just bought a 2011 SV with premium pkg, floor mats, mud guards during last week of December. Invoice for that is $34,527. Dealer wanted my biz (had bought last 3 Maxima's at their competitor). They found me 2.19% (60 months) financing third party and was able to get me full $1500 rebates/cash back. Gave me $5000 trade in on my 2006 Maxima SL with 160K mile on it. I put $3k extra down and decided to get 4 year/100K extended warranty as well. Net financing was $27,947 or $492/month payment, based on car cost of $33027 + TTL.
Turned out to be about $40 more per month than my 2006 payment. I'm feeling good about the deal.

2011 Maxima 3.5 CVT Sport and Tech Package
Got an amazing deal through a friend in Mesa, AZ. 41k sticker purchased for 32k with TTL out the door. Love the SV setup and the leather. Slate color and black interior. Pics to come. First post. Can't wait to speak to all of you.

did it come with navi? great price! I'm gonna wait a few months and jump into a 2010 used with lower miles that fall within the factory warranty
I got the Tech, Sport and Premium Pkg. The only thing I didn't get was the dual moonroof. Just the one in the front of the car. Haggle, haggle and haggle is all I can say to do. Good luck with your purchase. You'll love the car. I swapped out all the LEDs in the car, HID bulb replacement to 10k and HID conversion 10k for the fogs and installing the Viper 5901 at this time. Once completed, I'll post picks. New to the forums so it was nice to meet you BBMaxi.
