sgirgiss is right. Overstock had just about the lowest price in a 50 mile radius. While I didn't buy from one of the Overstock dealers, I used the price as ammunition in my negotiations.

$25,200 for an S model. Includes $2500 in incentives, not Including Taxes and DMV (Philadelphia area)

I currently have a 2011 Metallic slate premium + tech + spoiler sitting in my garage, borrowed from the dealer for tonite. I'm getting rid of my 2005 Acura TL with 80k, but wanted to keep the cash and not put it towards the lease of the maxima. I would've looked at 2010s, but all this dealership had were 2011s. Either way, after a lot of dealing, I got them down from 581 a month to 469 per month, with one payment down plus first months payment due at leasing. I have seen anyone mention anything about 2011s yet, but I think I'm getting a pretty good deal. From what i can tell, the dealership is losing a good amount of money on this one. What do you guys think of the deal, the car, and the color? Anyone have any experience with these 2011s?
I think this is overpriced. Regardless of 2010 or 2011, the retail price is the same (except during year end close-out of course). I have the same specs for $389/month with nothing down. I just had to pay tax, title, and first month. This was before the year end clearance hit. Should be $400-410 max in my opinion.

If I'm not mistaking a Maxima SV Sport for $33,100 is an average price for now so not bad however a monthly payment of $599 I find steep.

Well it's only that high because it's 60 months. If I went with 72 it would be about 480-490. So I just went with 0%. I think my payment is reasonable.

i have a question...

looking to get the 2011 Maxima S while trading in my 09 for it...i have about $6G left on the payments for 09 but at a really high interest rate.

i checked on kbb.com to see trade in value at a dealership = $24,500

new 2011 maxima is $27,722...last week it was 26,500 with other promotions

should i trade in my 09 for the 2011 (i will be sticking with the Maxims S)

my interest rate would hopefully be lower because my credit has gone up over 100 within the last year....i'll have the color i want as well if i do this...

does this sound reasonable???

If you get that price for your trade in and that price for the 2011 S, I would jump on it.

That's a good trade in value. Let us know if you get that value.

Good luck.

hmmm...very disappointed right now...just got back from Tustin Nissan and they offered me $21500 for my car...wtf!?!?!? I have an 09 S with less than 13,000 miles on it with all oil changes(3 so far) done at this dealership...

i checked kbb.com and it said trade in value at dealership for excellent would be $24,500...the sales manager said my car was in excellent condition

was he just trying to rip me off? i'm gonna goto another dealership tomorrow and find out what they're gonna offer me

if you've only got 13,000 miles on your car and $6,000 left on the loan

just pay it off and keep driving it

why take on, assuming you really do get $24,000 for your trade, $10,000-$12,000 (just guessing on financing fee and taxes) in debt just to drive the same car? you're so close to having no payments...

i was under the impression with the way car loans worked, interest is loaded into the loan, also known as a "financing fee". that is why 0% loans are so attractive for dealers, as they save the consumer thousands on the price of the loan, not the vehicle itself.

whether you pay off your car in the first week of ownership or at any other point during the course of the 60 months or 72 months or whatever, you're still paying the same amount, as interest doesn't accrue. it was factored in to your initial payment plan.

i could be wrong. probably am. :-P

either way, if you've only got $6000 on it - you've obviously been making payments much larger than the minimum. you should be done paying it off within a year right? 13,000 miles.. the car is practically brand new.

if i only owed $6k on a brand new car like yours, i would pay it off and not worry about getting the same car just in a different color.... i can see if you wanted to trade it on for something different

It actually depends on the institution and loan agreement. Sometimes the interest in locked in, but i believe NMAC loans are amortized. Meaning if you send extra money and specify that it goes to the principal, it will reduce the interest on your loan. Be aware that if you simply write a larger check each month instead of a separate one, you may just be paying your loan off quicker instead of reducing your interest.

If your loan interest isn't locked in, you could always refinance that $6000 at a lower rate and save yourself a few bucks.

As for the price of the trade, a dealer n my area had a perfect 2010 S model with 8000 miles and was asking $25,500 so it looks like they're trying to make a few bucks on you. I would definitely visit more than one dealership. I've found that trade-in offers vary as much as new car prices do.

OMG...i've been looking to refinance for sooo long...but the minimum is $7500...hence buying a new car with a lower interest rate would bring along a new loan that hits the minimum $7500

the only place that has a lower minimum is wells fargo and i'm already with them

All the extra money that I pay on top of the monthly payment goes straight toward the Principal only...1 check for monthly payment including interest...the 2nd check straight toward principal

Any chance of joining a credit union? I'm looking at one right now that is offering refi loans for $5000 minimum and a 2.9 apr. Might be worth looking into.

I paid 34k for premium+tech+spoiler and 19" wheels... it was about 2 or 3 months before the 2010's came out tho.

(sorry this is off-topic but...)

If anyone is considering putting a k&n cold air intake into their 7th gen maxima... check out diamondp.com... i run it and i can hook anyone who is interest up... we have a list of vendors on the right hand side of the webpage and we can get distributor prices for each brand. some of the brands are: AEM, Bully Dog Technology, Dynomax, Edelbrock, Holley, K&N... just to name a few.

callen@phillipspatterns.com if you have any questions...

I I stumbled upon these 2 when searching.

http://www.downonrates.com/about.php

https://www.penfed.org/productsAndRa...ceAutoLoan.asp

Here's one where the minimum refii amount is $1000

http://www.cafcu.org/?Cabinet=Main&D...=Vehicle+Loans

You should also check your local area for credit unions. You may already be eligible through your job, church, etc.

Failing everything else, if you are really getting hit, like 16%+, you could always put it on a promotional rate credit card.

I live in NJ but bought my car from Rockland County NY.
I was upside down on my girls 2005 TL prob about $1000 - $2000
I put down first months payment + MV
$390 + $389 and am paying $390 a month on a premium tech nav maxima.
It was stickered above 39K all it did not have was the spoiler..
I work for Infiniti though and had VPP pricing
And I got 16K miles a year BUT the car was a managers demo with 2000 miles but i do not get penalized on the warrenty or the lease miles.
I could have got a new one for that price but took the demo because it was the color I wanted and they would not drop anymore because it was a demo..

We were out the door for $27,210 after tax, title and the maintenance plan I added. We traded her 2008 Jeep JK and ended up with about $2000 positive equity, the tax, title, dealer fees, and maintenance plan pretty much ate all the trade value though.

I looked around and that is the best possible car I can buy for that money, not to mention it looks good parked next to my Titan.

Good Deal or Not?

I am planning to buy a used 09 Max SV Sport with Nav tomorrow in Tuscan Sun (dark red). The car has 15K miles and I will be paying $24,500. They are giving me $17,000 for my clean 07 Max SL with 37K miles.

I shopped around and this seems to be a good deal. What do you think? This is my 2nd choice of colors with silver being my first choice. Let me know your thoughts.

You financed or leased? If you don't mind, can you tell me how much your paying monthly if you financed. I'm just curious because nobody has really posted how much they are paying monthly if they have financed. I'm paying 599 at 60 months nothing down.

30K as in 30k out the door ? if so then that's a good, and going price for the 2010 sv without navi.

27k out the door is the going price for the 2010 S base without navi.

i leased. payment is 380. typically if u finance it is $80-115 per every $5000 depending on your interest rate. seems like u got a good price for 600 monthly.
