How much did you pay? *New car shopper*
i went and test drove a used 2010 maxima sv sport today. i came to the conclusion that the maxima will be my next car. i have been looking at acura tls, optima sx, maxima, avalons, i feel the maxima is the best compromise of sport and luxury.
now im having a hard time deciding on whether i want the sport with tech or the premium with tech
any insight??
I would have bought the 2010 black maxima sport, but it had 22,000 miles on it and they wanted $30,999. Lmao it didnt even have the tech package. ill pay the extra 3gs to get brand new.

I went with the sport cause of the rims and suspension, much better ride and looks alot better with the 19s...only thing that made me think about it was the dual moonroof, only nice on the winter frost....The cooled seat is nice too but once the AC is on for a minute the car gets cold no need for the AC seat...
I think this is overpriced. Regardless of 2010 or 2011, the retail price is the same (except during year end close-out of course). I have the same specs for $389/month with nothing down. I just had to pay tax, title, and first month. This was before the year end clearance hit. Should be $400-410 max in my opinion.
I agree I got mine 385/month with nothing down except first month...
Finally took delivery of my new Max on 9/30 after months of research and checking out the threads on this forum which has been extremely helpful. I decided I wanted to wait for the 2012 LE to come out and literally got mine straight off the truck.
So I'm the proud new owner of a 2012 Maxima S Limited Edition in Winter Frost, only options are the mats and splash guards. MSRP $33,595. I paid $29,500 plus sales tax and DMV fees. I love this car.

i feel like a sucker now... I paid 34500 for a 2010 (in feb 2011) sv with tech and premium in white. Dual sunroof sold me. Backup camera seemed a little superfluous but I like the heated steering wheel since I live in Minnesota. Heated and cooled seats work very well but my chair has always kind of "rocked" since day 1.
I had a 2005 3.5 altima se but I totally fell in love with the Max styling.

First time Nissan owner. I traded in my pos 2007 Toyota Camry for a brand new 2011 Maxima SV with sport package in early September. I paid $24000 out the door included tax & title. Love my new max every bit of it!!
$24K out the door? How did you pull that off? lol good job!
im picking up a 2012 maxima this weekend. 2012 max sv premium tech with splash gaurds trunk mats and spoiler msrp 40,875 they are giving it to me for 32k. I have a trade with negative equity of 5k and they worked me a hell of a deal all in all im paying 37k for it with a 508 a month payment 745$ down
For those that know these things I have a question. I had a salesman tell me that the residual (%) was lower on a SV sport package vs S, SV, or premium so the lease price would be higher on the sport even though the price of other models may be similar? Is this true?
2009 Maxima SV, premium and tech (paddle shifter, might be the wrong package name) in black with 58,000 miles. Got the sales guy down to 24,000 total out the door. $389 a month, 72 month @ 5%
Or an Infiniti 2007 G35x with 31,000 miles, $24,000 at $371 monthly. Now I can't decide.

I just bought my 2011 Maxima SV Sport on 10-27-2011. I traded my 07 Honda Civic Si Coupe for $10,500. it was paid off. I negotiated my Maxima from MSRP $37,490 down to $29,990. minus 10.5 trade bringing my trade difference to 19,490. 1.99% interest and 60 months financing brings my payment to $344.42 a month! I have to say this car is amazing.

That's 28,000 for a car that's already almost 3 years old. I just got a 2011 SV premium for just about 32. There's no reason why you should do a 6 year car loan on a car that's 3 years old. You can get a 2012 S for 28, and low apr financing thru Nissan. 5.0% and 72 months is not good at all
I could make a run at a 2012 base model going thru Nissan Credit but come on, older style Maxima with paddle shift and navigation.
new member asking for help! I have 2 days to decide on a car 2011 Maxima SV with premium package/spoiler/floor mats/tint. MSRP was 39.6 I negotiated down to 34.7 OTD. If it wasnt for some paperwork problem I wouldve driven it off the lot today but Ill be returning on Thursday to get it. Is that a good deal? or can i do better? Thanks.

IMO that is high i bought my max sticker 38030 for 30,026 plus 200 to get me a white one
Alright Thanks for the reply. fortunately, I havent signed any paper work or commitment yet. At first I asked them 33000 OTD and they wouldnt budge so thats how I ended up at 34700. I'll call the salesman and see if I could get it lowered.
another dealership will beat that deal to sell a car. trust me, i sell cars. someone will do a deal for you. there is a 2,500 rebate as of 10-27-11 they can come off some more money for you.
good deal???
i have a conditional deal on a new 2012 39month lease SV w/premium & tech for $37K, $2500 down and $400 a month, 12K miles a year. I put $500 down tonight to hold the car, with the condition being "if with my insurance turns out to be too much for me a month i can opt out". I just did a Geico quote and it came out to be $204... Is all of this good?? Also, that deal includes my VPP discount and any incentives.
Can i do better on a 2012????
Or try for a new 2011 with the same goodies????
I'm 22, fresh out of college and this is my first car, so any input would help! Thanks, i greatly appreciate it.
My intentions today were just to get a price quote, but i ended up with a conditional agreement. I am/was shopping the CPO market on Max's 09 and up. Should i stick to that plan, with this being my first car? Or am i getting a good enough deal?
