Also do I buy the same hid kit for the headlights and fog lights? I would prefer a PNP kit so any other recommendations would be appreciated.

dude, i dont know whether u read the infor about that kit you stated here clearly, or u just browse it generally.....otherwise, hw can u ask this kind of stupid question.... dont u see they stated "plug-and-play" ?????

if you ordered 35w HIDs, no need to get relay harness too if it fits to your stock housings... the relay harness is to protect the entire headlight electric system and prevent irregular voltage and high temperature to melt housings.....

of couse it is different HID kits for low beam ,hi beam and fog lights....all depends on your car models....

check it all http://www.vvme.com/page.html?chapter=5&id=62

you can go to vvme hid with more color options for PNP kits.....

Hey man calm down, I realize it says plug and play, but I believe some other people in this thread bought plug and play kit but needed to mod with an adapter or use electrical tape to cover open wire. I just wanted confirmation it was a true plug and play. Also, it looks like the headlights and fog lights are H11 so you just need 2 sets of the same kit to covert both of them to hid. Thanks for the info fernando

IE: Park(front and rear), signal(front and rear), side marker, reverse, mirror lights and so on. Also I am trying to figure if I should go with LED for the fogs or get an HID kit for them. I am wanting to replace my interior lights with LEDs also. So in the spirit of being cheap, where could I go to get these things and not spend a large amount of $$$? Finally does anyone know what temp the factory HIDs are? 5k,6k,4k? Any compilation of knowledge is appreciated. Im sure there are others in my frustrating position of being overwhelmed with too many sources and websites and different wattage and temp and do you need relays or how do you put in the balasts....... you get the idea. lol. Please any input is very welcome. Thanks guys.
For your interior LED question here's a helpful link that I found useful when i was changing to LED on my Max -> http://forums.maxima.org/7th-generat...ghts-pics.html

I have 5000k with 55w from DDM for 4 months now. No signs of any issues. Knocking on wood three times.

I'm about to purchase an hid kit from ddmtuning. I'm looking at the digital slim ballast, 35W, H11 bulb type, Do I need the HID harness or error eliminator? Also do I need to make an H11 "extender"/adapter like Annino did to make the kit true plug and play?

i noticed that everyone seems to purchase their bulbs online; did not know if there is a particular reason?or can they be bought at the autoparts store- perhaps pay more? i wanted to upgrade my current HID to a 5.5 to 6k color bulb and then just go with non-HID yellow fog bulbs. anyone purchased from non-online source and have suggestions on what they used

What are you guys' opinion on changing my SV stock HID for D2S 6000k bulbs. And adding 8000k HID fogs.

Now the problem is how and where to mount the ballasts for the fog. I've gone though the 13 pages of this thread and no one really covered that in depth. The "Turn the wheels then work with the very limited space between bumper and wheel" tactic then what? http://forums.maxima.org/7722351-post21.html

Any more feedback on regular vs slim ballasts?

And the SYLVANIA SILVERSTAR ULTRA BULBS 9005 should be fine as DLR lights as well right?

Plan on starting project during spring. Thanks in advance for feedbacks.

The difference isnt too bad. I'm currently running 6k fogs with factory HID, they look great and IMO they are the best ones to go with. I just grabbed a set of 6k D2S bulbs today for the projectors so they will match perfectly.

Installing the H11 fogs is easy, the hardest part is taking off the bumper cover and even that is simple when compared to other vehicles I've worked on. Mounting the ballasts only takes about 5 mins then its plug-n-play. Use the 'Search' there are other threads on here with pics

Attempted and failed.

Tried to replace the HID headlight bulbs. I tried to follow some of the user's steps but no success. What I did was steer the wheels to the opposite side which I'm working on then try to pull the fender back. Couldn't pull back too much. I did take off the one clip, what else do I need?

Can someone please walk me through on how to access that bulb. I did also noticed there is a white cover which I assume the bulb is located behind of. How do I take that off?

Would greatly appreciate the help.

You have to remove the clips holding the fender plastic

The space is big enough to change bulbs that way, just go slow and work cautiously as not to bang the bulbs around taking them out and putting them back in

This is exactly what I tried. Not much luck pulling the fender back. Should I actually be ripping the hell of it off?

Well tried it again and managed to change the bulbs with the very limited space available. Got a few scratches on my hands but its worth it if I don't have to do it again .... (at least not soon). Hope all goes well.

How does people manage to install Ballast and HID fogs without even removing the bumper...

you will have to remove some clips under the bumper and take off the black plastic and you will have access to the fogs

Take off the black plastic? the piece beside the fog lights? Isn't that piece glued to the bumper?

Fogs are real easy to install, get under the car, remove the mud guard in the front by taking out the screws holding it into the bottom of the front bumper, then just reach in there, unscrew the bulb, unplug it and throw the new ones in. Done!!

New Max owner here I have been reading through this thread and thank you all for the wealth of information!

As with many of you I am reluctant to just stick 2 stripped wire ends into the stock connector and was looking for an H11 end to solder onto the stripped cable ends instead. I ran across this cable and was wondering if this might work as a replacement for the cable provided by most companies to run between the stock bulb connector and ballast. I am likley going with the DDM slim ballast kit and I believe this would eliminate the need to solder anything and can be used as a replacement all together.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002GZ32NO

I would really appreciate any feedback you guys can provide.
