The S model does not have the switch to turn on the fogs. There is 2 routes you an go on that. Either buy Ebay OEM style Fog Lights that come with the housing, Foglights, wiring and a push button or you can plug buy an actual Nissan OEM kit (a bit more money) since the existing Fog Light wiring is there, just tied back, in this case you would need to order a Combo switch for the steering column which has the turn on for the fogs.

Did you have to get a relay harness and error eliminator?

Quick Question.
Sorry if this was asked in earlier posts. I couldn't find a issue similar to mine.

I bought the headlight D2S NOTTO 10000k replacement bulbs from CarID.com. I already have the HID kit as a standard in my car (11' SV-S model). Installed the bulbs properly and am having an issue with them turning on. At start of car sometimes no bulbs turn on. After turning lights on/off a few times 1 or both of the headlights turn on. What is the problem? 35w bulb replacing another 35w bulb, i don't understand. Please help!

Hey guys i need some help.... i just installed 20,000k hids in my fogs and they look awsome!!! 2011 Maxima

my problem is this, i changed the DRL to a blue LED (Which works fine) but im having trouble with the turn signal. i want to buy a Blue led turn signal. i purchased one from ijdmtoy and installed it but it popped a fuse (which i cant find the fuse, which resulted to me giving it to the dealership to change) i dont want to place the led back in a pop it again. anyone know were this fuse is?

also the guy i just bought my hids from said the led turn signal i bought is ment for a signal polarity somthing when a turn signal actually needs double polarity something. so i guess the leds i have are pointless.. any suggestions on finding a blue led turn signal that wont pop a fuse?

also my car comes stock with hids in the headlight, but there not really cutting it for me. i purchased a new pair of d2r bulbs and there better than the stock bulbs, but i kinda wanna match my headlights with my fogs now. i see online d2r hid conversion kits but im totally confused on how to even install them... can anyone help me on this?

this site is great but for some reason im not permitted to create a thread... ive posted like 20 messages but i dont know why i cant post a new thread lol

Hid light pattern

Hey guys, I am thinking about doing 6K HID for the fogs and change my bulbs to 6K for the lows, my question is, I have the D2S bulbs from factory and just wondering if the factory fog lights are set up for HID bulbs, would the pattern be good? or is it just going to throw the light out all over the place, worried about blinding oncoming vehicles! Should I even be worried about this?

If your asking if they are already set up for HID the answer is no. Also they don't have the projector beam set up like the low beams do so they may tend to throw light everywhere but I'm sure some1 here can give a more detailed answer to this.

If you're putting 35w, there's nothing to worry about. The light gets scattered everywhere mostly on the road.

OK, I need help guys. I attempted to install my kit from ddmtuning last night, plug and play it is not. the socket from the factory light did not fit into the ballast. I don't know if they are different, or what, but it would not fit. the two wires fit into the factory socket, but for this I'd have to use electrical tape to secure the wires. anyone know of an adapter?? I really want a true plug and play kit.

Yeah I had the same issue too. Was disappointed that I had to use electrical tape around the plug since it is not a clean installation and not as convenient.

There's a connector for H11 to standard ballast that should be included in all pnp kits.

Yea the bulb included in the hid kit should have the connection piece that goes into the ballest... The connection that goes from the car (which u have included a picture of) gets connected to the connect on the hid bulb, not the ballast

I ordered mine a month ago from ddmtuning and they came with 2 pins instead of the connector. The online instructions shows the install for both types.

I'd return any that came bare wires and re-order one with the plastic connector - problem solved. Yes they still sell them with the plastic connector.

there is no other connection on the hid bulb for the plug from the car. there is a port on the ballast. the wires our of the ballast connect to the bulb. there is a seperate set of wires that have the exposed wire tips and a connection that fits into the ballast. when I placed the wire tips into the connector from the car, and connected the other end to the ballast, it turned on. but this is obviously not ideal since I have to tape the ends, I.e. not plug and play.

Bare wires plus extra modifications does not equal plug n play and shall not be sold as.

i know the exposed wires go into the cars connectors. The issue is thats not true plug and play because i have to tape the connectors to keep them from coming out. The kit looks like above, but should have looked like this...

i tried to call them, but no answer, so i emailed instead. If they cant send the other part, i might as well send it back and just order the one from vme as i originally planned. The only reason i didnt is cause i was inpatient and didnt wanna wait the 20 days they said it would take to ship out. the other issue is, the next time i get into the wheel well, i wanna do the headlights, install fogs, and install HID into them at the same time (lazy so i dont have to go into the wells again. lol)

Mine came shipped to me like that as well. I couldn't figure it out and got frustrated, so I threw everything away. On top of that it took like 3 weeks to get them. Everyone used to rave about DDM but I can't stand them. Good luck returning something with 3 week turn around times

In order to get to the fogs to change the bulbs or put HID into the Fogs do I have to go threw the wheel wells/ or can I just lay on my back under the front bumper and get to them to change out the bulbs?

You have d2S bulbs in there not d2R. Go order a set of these http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/i...all-sizes.html in D2S fitment and chose the color you want. Then order a set of HIDS in H11 size in the same color you bought the D2S bulbs to match up.

I bought 8000k and kinda wished I had boughten 6000k. I have h11 for my fogs in 3000k waiting to go in. Once they go in ill decide if I want to stay with the 8000k.

For some reason, my 8000k dont seem as bright as the 8000k that i had in my impala.
