2009-2010 Alignment pulls right?

2010 Maxima Pulls to the Right
Bought a 2010 Maxima in August, has pulled to the right with 7 miles on the car. Got progressively worse, finally took it in for the alignment, tried to tell me I hit a curb. Took it back after the first alignment, the car still pulls right. Took it back a third time, had the mechanic drive with me, said "torque pull"....The car pulls to the right, abnormally for a fwd vehicle, pulls very badly at high speeds and pulls in acceleration as well as coasting (but not as bad).

2010 with 9K. Mine was originally pulling to the right. I got the car aligned and that did not help. Took it to the dealer, they did another alignment and tire rotation. This made the steering wheel off center according to them when I took it back the second time. Now, its been to the dealer 3 times and is pulling left after the 2nd steering wheel adjustment.

for all those who are lowered, did you try eibach aligment kit? Would it help the situation?

09 with 130,000. Straight and true. First set of tires lasted 70K+ and looks like these will last even longer. Never any abnormal wear on the tires that would point to alignment issues. Of course, stock suspension and wheels as well.

Evey one also assumes that all alignments are done to spec and the shop has well calibrated machines. People should know that maintenance on shop machines are expensive and therefore are rarely performed. You can get your car aligned in 10 different shops with 10 different results. Problem with that is obvious. So just suck it up...and press that gas paddle as hard as you can...

Man this sucks!!! In my 09 I did not have as bad of a pull as I do now in my 2011....upgraded the rims back in 09 and no issues....took the same rims to the 2011 and issues......replaced the tires with new Michelin Pilot Super Sports and an Eibach suspension kit and had it aligned twice now and the 2011 stills pulls to the right!!!! It is diving me absolutely insane.....WHTY???????

I have a 2010 Premium which i bought new. It pulled to the right from day 1. I put the spring kit and 20's on it and its worse. Recently had the tires rotated and its the worst its ever been. I was going to get it aligned but glad i saw this thread first. I'm going to adjust the air pressure and see if that helps.
This forum has saved me so much time and money over the last year.
Thanks Everyone!!!

When i got my alignment done, they give me a printout of before and after specs of the toe in, camber, steer ahead, etc. Maybe you guys can use that to help pinpoint the problem and if the shop even adjusted anything.

i have a 2009 sport package. came with 19s..i put 20s on it after 1k miles..car now only has 12,400 miles and since day one, only has a slight pull to the rights are highway speeds above 65..glad i dont drive car alot or on highway alot or this would drive me NUTS...im glad i saw this post b4 i took it to the dealer to be screwed up more.
Honestly this will probably be the last nissan i ever buy...from the front seats vibrating , fronts seats moving. car pulling, cheap AS ****ty paint job on Nissans, the bumpers chip to easy and my buddies car 2009 maxima already has a rust spot (rediculous) on trunk, trunk is not aligned properly with gaps...im just not over all happy with the cars issues.
The most aggravating is that Nissan doesnt seem to car and resolve these issues.
ive had Honda's and Acura and never had these issues !!!!
1st nissan ive owned and probably last !!

Same here...I previously never had this issue with 19 inch sport wheels and everything stock. After installing Eibach pro-kit still no problems. After alignment 1 week after install, car pulls to the right...
Any suggestions?

A few thousand miles after the previous tire rotation and balance, I started to see the pull again. Another tire rotation (no balance) fixed it. I've no idea why this problem starts, but in my case, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the car's alignment.

Changing tire size per se will have nothing to do with the car pulling to one side. Pulling will be caused by (in decreasing order of probability):
Misalignment (most likely)
A problem with a tire or wheel (broken tire belt, etc)
Two different tires on the same axle
The two tires on the same axle inflated to very different pressures
A brake caliper grabbing on one wheel (not likely)
A problem with the power steering system (very unlikely)
One of the systems such as traction control or stability control (Nissan calls their electronic stability system 'VDC') gone amok and applying constant braking to one wheel (have never heard of this happening on a 7th gen)
There may be other possibilities, but these are the ones that come quickly to mind.

Funny, my wife was just complaining about her 2011 S pulling and I thought she was probably just noticing the effects of the road. Glad I saw this post. I guess I'll trade cars for a few days and check. If anyone gets a good fix for this, please post it.
Does ignoring her complaints qualify me to work for the dealer!?

Pulls right no more!
First purchased car and had the same problem, had them check alignment they said it was due to horrible MD roads, true statement but was not the problem. Tire pressures were low aired to 32 PSI and fixed most of the pull, still pulls ever do slightly, blame it on the slope of the interstates for watershed!

Tyres
I have an '09 currently with winter tires. Had to put in two new rear tires and move the backs to the front and now there is a slight pull to the right. Was thinking it just needed an alignment but seeing this thread has me worried.

There are those folks who are paranoid about tire rotation, and I must admit I rotated regularly for over fifty years. But for the past fifteen years, as long as my tires are wearing evenly (and I measure and record the tread depth in each groove of all four tires every three months), I rotate only every 15K miles.
This has worked very well for me, saves me money and time, and reduces the number of times those infernal air wrenches have to damage my lugs. After every service trip where the wheels have been removed for any purpose, I take the time to reset the correct tightness of each lug with my torque wrench. Correct lug torque is important for many reasons.
Tip - Any time a car pulls with one set of tires/wheels on the front, but not with a different set, the problem is almost surely in the tires/wheels that were pulling, and not the alignment.

2010 Maxima pull so the right
Bought my 2010 Nissan Maxima off of showroom floor with 8 miles on it back in 2010.
Took the car in at 26K miles for pulling to the right. Car now has 54k on it, still pulling after 18 alignments, new struts, new brakes, and brand new directional tires.
Escalated issue to Nissan Corporate. Rep came to the shop today and told the service manager that the car is driving normal and this is how Nissan's are supposed to drive. Told the service manager to stop trying to correct something that is not wrong with vehicle.
I am very frustrated that I constantly have to over compensate with pulling steering wheel to the left to prevent the pull to the right.
Anyone been able to fix the issue? Is it tie rods? control arms? steering rack? I do not want to put anymore money into the car unless necessary or guaranteed to fix this issue.
I live in Pacifica, CA, this was my first ever brand new car and I LOVE it....but the pulling leaves me uneasy as I can never be relaxed on long drives.

2011 Max Prem Tec
Since day one my car pulls to the left and I have paid for alignments and nothing has helped...Often seen at highway speeds and i drove from ny to miami the second month i had the car and boy was i pissed. Constant pulling my arm was dead from over compensating..
Funny thing is the is my second max! I have had the 2009 sport tech n i loved it way more than my 2011 prem tech. No pull in the 09!! The 09 Sport was the better car in every way in my opinion.. 09 had more interior space(seats sat way lower, and there was more space between the seat and the seat belt (didnt have the seat belt scraping the wall until the 11) and that sport suspension made the maxima a max in my opinion.
Not gonna hop into another lease until max corrects the pull!

I will say that this car is acutely sensitive to tire pressures. I was getting a pull and a low-pressure light earlier last week. The lowest tire was 29.5. The highest, 31. (Which was odd because the dealer sheet said they were all at 37 after an oil change the week prior.) When I equalized everything at 36 PSI, the pull diminished quite a lot.

Did you guys ever find out a fix behind this "pull to the right"?
I had the same "pull to the right" issue that happened regardless of speed. So I brought it to a local non-dealership mechanic. He performed an alignment and now my pull is only visible during non-highway driving (e.g. 0-40mph). On the highway, it is now perfect and straight.
I stupidly didn't ask for the alignment report, though.

Constant Steering correction, 09 Maxima
I see the majority of threads are having this issue, so am I. So new tires, inner/outer Tie Rod ends and alignment. Still having to correct steering to both sides. Its just a bit tighter on the wheel.
What is the cause of my 09 constantly wandering???
Could a failing CV Axle cause a pull to one side?
