The dealership told me it’s overdue for a flush but I don’t know the service history and don’t want it to ruin it when it’s working fine right now. Thanks
This topic had been beaten to death you just had to look in the top 5 topics just in this week alone.
remove dipstick, unplug drain plug, drain 5 quarts then close and put fresh NISSAN NS2 5 quarts from the top. Change the filter on the side of tranny too. Search this forum for how to.

Thanks and I did search about it but I came to find that people have owned their car and did the service regularly on their car but I don’t know the service history with this car at 147k so I wasn’t sure how to go about it

Good job. How was the fluid you drained?
IMO draining the fluid at any mileage is better than leaving burnt fluid in the transmission. Unless it's really dying on you.
Does it drive better now after the drain?

It wasn’t too bad last I know it was changed at 50k but it looks like it was done at at least 100k but can’t be positive so if 50k was the last time 100k is pushing it from what I have learnt. It is driving better but I’m going easy on it for the first 100 miles or so. My girl has a max also and hers feels like it has a little more go to hers than mine does and has a bit of a louder rumble to it but can’t figure out why. When I picked the car up going 60mph the front end would shake like a leaf, rotors were warped, tires were pretty bald esp the insides, so I replaced all that and 90% of the shake went away. I installed spacers and the shake was worse than without the spacers so I took them back off, I check the tie-rods they seem strong so I’m going to assume the ball joints must be worn out. I hope that’s the last fix and can start to enjoy it lol

LtLeary,
My belts are shredding.
Did pulley and tensioner change (and belt) about 13k miles ago. The pulleys were noisy (so i had thought).
Recently, the belt shredded and got tangled around the power steering pump and caused a shaft leak (no PS fluid on the high side big bolt at all, bone dry)
just had drip on from bottom of pulley wheel.
Anyhow, after changing out my power steering pump, belt just shredded again (maybe less than 100 miles).
What did you do different in the second power steering pump install from the first?

Is it just they type of belt? Could the tensioner be too tight?
Shredded Continental Elite belt (ex. Goodyear Gator grips)
Shredded Bando

Im buying a Dayco DR and some Prestone belt to try.
Or maybe just somehow the power steering pump isn't installed "just so" ?

Your and any other's (with experience of belt shredding) input would be much appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

Shreddimg usually meams misalignmemt or pulley "wobblimg" the 1st pump i installed was "new" but not oem and belts still shredded. The 2nd I got reman from NAPA and has been trouble free simce. For whatever reason the oem belts worked the best and the conti gator the worst

They make laser alignment tools but i couldnt get any use out of it as the pulleys are so close. Tip, while up on jackstands, get someone to take the rpms thru their paces while you watch under the wheel well. Go from cold to hot and keep an eye out for any perturbations. And do get some oem belts!
