Sidemarkers
Sidemarkers
wassap everybody
i m tryin to figure out how to install sidemarkers on my i30. i went to one of the hook up shops and they told me it will cost about 100 just to install them. so i was figuring if maybe i could do it myself. if anybody has any ideas please reply back. by the way i30s will look nice with sidemarkers specially the bmw sidemarkers that come on the 5 series. i will be going into the bmw dealership for an estimate on the sidemarkers. but first i gotta figure out how to install them. thx

In theory it's not that hard. Just a matter of cutting holes in your fenders, popping the lenses in, and tapping your turn signal wires for power.
There is a good how-to on this here: http://students.washington.edu/krist.../side/side.htm
Again, it's easy in theory, but you first have to get over the fact that you're going to be cutting into your body panels (I could never get past that step), and then be VERY exact in all your measurements, as well as taking care to touch up any exposed metal, and weatherproofing your wiring.
