Plus when I installed the 4.08FD auto, I left the '93 TCM because I would have to have made some kind of conversion harness to plug the 2001 auto TCM into my '93 and I didn't feel like fooling with it so the TC doesn't lockup at highway speeds. It runs about 300rpm higher than a stock 2001 Altima but babying it, we get around 21 mixed. On the plus side, it can spin the tires from a roll in first gear w/the shorter gearing and bolt ons.
FWIW, Fueleconomy.gov has the 2.4 auto Altima rerated (around '07??) at 19/26, down from the original 23/29 rating lol!

Weighed the car today on the way home from work.
1997 SE, 5MT, VQ35, tan cloth, sunroof, spoiler removed.
3100 lbs w/driver and 1/4 tank of gas.
Filled up the tank 10 miles later with 13.9 gallons. At the tank average of 25.2 mpg, I used 0.39 gallons of fuel driving from the weigh station to the gas station. This leaves me missing 13.5 gallons of fuel at the time of weighing. Assuming 6.25lbs per gallon of gas, that will add 84lbs to this weight with a full tank of gas.
I need to weigh the random extra stuff sitting in my car. This was with the RX7 wheels and same mods as my recent dyno and 1/4 miles pass.
So a couple quick numbers with extra junk in the car:
Car w/ driver, 1/4 tank of gas: 3100lbs
Car w/o driver, 1/4 tank of gas: 2930lbs
Car w/o driver, full tank of gas: 3014lbs

Not really, I was a little disappointed to be honest. Most sites I've seen state a curb weight of 2800lbs. That's probably for the 95 now that I think about it.
Just weighed all the tools and extra crap in my car. 51.6lbs

I've been kicking around the idea of a smaller fuel tank. Checked out a 13.2 gal B14 gas tank.
Hoses line up just fine, though I just realized I forgot to check the access cover once I had the B14 tank 'mounted' on the A32. Oops.
B14 tank bolts to the unibody around the perimeter of the tank.
A32 tank uses two straps running underneath the tank.
The fuel tank strap on the driver side bolted up without much hassle. The passenger side strap wasn't so easy.
A32 FSU has one more sensor than the B14. I'm doing some FSM diving to see what it is. I'm thinking fuel temp. Due to that, the B14 FSU has one less pin on the fuel level sender connector.
The return line on the B14 FSU is connected to a hose whereas the A32 just has a tube going into the tank.

At this point I was just tired of messing with it. The tank was hitting the exhaust heat shields and possibly the evap stuff too. So a custom mounting soultion would be needed to mount the tank level.

Hmm I'm not a fan of the new front bumper, but I'm assuming you're doing this for MPG purposes?

Its going to take some getting used to. I am going to reinstall the clear turn signals soon.
MPG is the reason behind the 95-96 bumper. My old bumper was done, peeling clear coat, fading paint, bondo from an accident 15 years ago was cracking. So its time for a change that may help with the sleeper look I'm going for.

Yes and yes. Pulled over as soon as I saw smoke coming out of my hood. Popped the hood and was greeted with the classic cloud of white smoke and coolant all over the place.

Funny you say that. It happened on my way back after dropping him off at his friends house last night.

Progress RSB w/ all mounting hardware = 16lbs
With half of the RSB weight being unsprung, that's quite a bit of weight. Makes me curious as to what the FSB weighs.
After I decide how I'm gonna fill the hole. Was thinking about something like the 2jr b15 sunroof delete, but I don't like how non-OEM it looks. It may blend in better with my dark colored car, though.

That sunroof delete looks legit. I'm digging that. Wonder how much weight that drops? Im installing a civic sized battery this weekend. I really need to weigh my car to compare. A lot of cool ideas in this thread. Keep it up.
I think its around 60-75lbs for the B15 guys. However I'm only going to guess 30lbs so I'm not disappointed when I weigh mine 
I'm running a 17lb, $20 lawn mower battery at the moment. Just be mindful of your accessories/lights when the engine isn't running and you'll be fine.
I am considering swapping it out for a 13lb battery that's in my Harbor Freight Jump pack.

My buddy has a BMW that he found a kit for that makes it look flush.
I'm going to test fit it on mine just because.
I'll report if that turns up anything.
