EManage Ultimate FTW (EU). ECU upgrades cost more, are less efficient, cost to be reprogrammed, and have less features. It is like going out and buying VHS. Sure it works, but why when you can get DVD.
I couldn't tell you how to rewire injectors because I have never done that or spliced wires in my life. Forgive my noobishness

you don't have to rewire anything. You cut the old injector clips off, and solder the new ones on. It's 2 wires per clip. Summit RPM switch should work good, you can get one at www.summitracing.com The Greddy Emanage Ultimate is the best option, but If you don't wanna be bothered with tuning, a TS ecu (if you can find it) is a good way to go.

Can the sidefed injectors be re-used for on the DEk? the reason I ask is I'm boosted and I already have 500cc sidefed and wouldnt want to get rid of them to get topfed if I can make my current ones work. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Man I already pm him about some other questions regarding the swap, I hope he mentions this cuz I also asked him about the injector re-use. Still a noob on the swap but what other sensors are needed to swap over? EVAP/EGR and MAP right? How bout the crank pulley, r they the same?

Same crank pulley. Swap over EVAP and parts of EGR.

Is the headers the same distance between each other? I'm hoping my feedpipe wont need modifying to fit. Does the motor sit about the same from the fans also as compared to the DE?

let me get this straight, you can swap in the vq30de-k in a 1997 model lets say, and use a TS ecu (like the one i have already in my 97?) or is TS doing an ecu for 00-01 model maximas ?

i ask because in the part of the world im in, i can get the whole vq30de-k for a hair more than 00VI/vafc-2 combo ?

can someone explain ?

You would be using your 97 ecu because you have a 97 wiring harness. The 00 ecu may not be compatible with the harness (pin-wise) I would think. My 98 will run the DEk just fine and I dont need the 00 ecu to run the car so you should be able to run your TS just fine.
