plugs, fuel pump, fuel pressure gauge, egt gauge, probably a FPR. If 5 spd, RPM switch and stronger clutch (ACT preferably). If auto, VB mod and cooler are not bad ideas.

I hate that the search function doesn't work anymore....

exactly, nitrous is kinda like sex. you could, and definitely should, know what you're doing before hook it up. imagine if you had no idea how sex worked your first time, you woulda freaked even more, right? lol exactly.. i'm about to pick up my no2 setup here soon. i've read all kinds of stuff and dunno if i'm ready to have it in my car yet.

btw, you should go pick up the newest Sport Compact Car. it has an article dedicated to nothing but nitrous setups and precautions, etc. buy it and read it. the article's very informative. plus, read the faq's on this site!!

The SCC article doen't tell you **** about installation, how to run everything etc. Other than that it has some good general knowledge for Honda drivers.

I would not run out an buy it... the Nitrous stickie has a lot more info

First time I had sex, it was really dark and I was totally scared, on top of that I was all alone.

Why would I need an rpm switch if I am a 5 speed. I always let go of the gas pedal when shifting gears, wouldn't this cause the nitrous not to spray while changing gears?

It is probably more of a safety feature. What would happen if you shifted a bit too late and hit the limiter and also for really low RPM levels.

What rpm level is considered too low to turn the nitrous on?

Well everyone has their own opinion on this, most say around 3k. The main thing not to do is switch it on at low rpm in higher gears.

I hit the spray right out of the hole at around 2k but before you can blink your eyes its at 6k so no danger of hurting anything. Its when you hit it at low rpm in a higher gear that all the pressure is exerted in the cylinder and no immediate place to release, thats what causes damage.

I know what you mean, in first 2 gears the car's rpm just fly, once I hit 3rd and above they dont go up as fast.

Jime is correct about peoples opinions. The best answer I can give is that it all depends upon the amount you use. The higher the shot, the higher the RPM you need to start. The VQ30 has been proven to handle 400 lb. ft. of torque for short periods so unless you're running a 125 shot or more (wet, DPI) you wont have to worry too much about a 2000 RPM start.

If you're using a Zex or NOS dry kit you can go upto a 70 shot without any real upgrades. But for safety reasons you should upgrade that old fuel pump before you spray with any kit. Most people here prefer the high pressure 255 lph Walbro pump. If you get that you can go to a 100+ dry shot but NEVER exceed 90psi fuel pressure on the injectors you have.
