please help me with some n00b nitrous questions...
okie i did a decent amount of reading from the nitrous forum FAQ. i'm not particularly looking forward to make my maxima extra fast on the street/track, but just want to have some fun with nitrous. so i have decided to go for just a NOS dry kit #5132, which is just 50 shot, .032 fuel jet. nice and simple.
i know it is not necessary to get EGT, air/fuel and nitrous pressure gauges for 50 shot. stock fuel pump will work. hayden transmission cooler is recommeded but not necessary. so i came across this NOS kit #5132. it looks quality and price is reasonable.

here's couple additional questions:
1. i know window switch is not required for autos, but recommended. i know i can get it from summit racing and send it to MSD to program it? what is MSD? where is MSD?do you guys think i should get a window switch?
2. i have a bad habit shifting my auto like a stick, i even downshift before every stop light to "2". i know exactly where i can go WOT after passing certain rpm and mph. i just want a trigger and a happy button to active NOS to make things simple. i also understand activating NOS within gear switching won't hurt tranny. but how does NOS shut off? do i have to turn off the bottle manually or i can just turn the trigger off?
3. i am semi-mechenically skilled, but not electrically. do you think i can perform the installation? i know this NOS kit is universal and does not come with specific instruction for maxima application. where can i get installation instruction? (if i can't accomplish it myself i'll bring it to turbo95max's shop and have him do it for me)
4. should i get hayden transmission cooler? if so, where can i get it for cheap price?
lastly, here's my NA mods and hopefully it'll help NOS application:
- bomz racing intake w/ JWT filter
- warpspeed y-pipe
- magnaflow muffer
- HKS hyper gruonding system
- mobil 1 supersyn sythetic oil 5W/30
**- motostorm UDP (tylerborg is mailing it to me)
**- stillen b-pipe (first week of march)
thx for all your help!

When you say turn off, do you mean turn off as in stop spraying or turn off as in your done for the day?
I usually turn the bottle valve off and purge the remaining n20 thats in the lines then I can disconnect the bottle from the line.
My system is armed by the main switch and activated (sprays)by a throttle switch which only sprays when I go WOT and if I let off the gas the solenoids shut off but the system is still armed. you can add a "happy button" inline to the throttle switch if you choose to spray using a button

like I said, you can either have just a WOT switch and when you floor it, it will spray and it will stop spraying as soon as you let off the pedal.
Or you can wire the happy button along with the WOT switch so when you let go of the button it will stop spraying which is what you said you want. Leave the WOT switch there since it acts as a safety since you only want to spray at WOT anyways. Just add the happy button to it
It is recommended you turn off the bottle when your done using the nitrous but its a hassle unless you have a remote bottle opener that way you can close the bottle from in the car otherwise you have to stop and get out into the trunk to manually turn the valve off.

as hard as taking it to a speed shop with a refill station and pay whatever the price per pound they charge, Over here I think its around $4 a pound.
as for how many seconds a 10 pound bottle/50 shot can last, not shure sorry.
