2010 Maxima S
Black / Charcoal
Mats, splashguards, trunk organizer
$27,450, out the door.
While the SV has beautiful leather, I was also impressed by the cloth. I'd prefer it to the leather in the '10 Camaro I also tried.

Did that include 0% finance? I got 3K off also a while ago. I nissan is pretty good about discounting the cars...and the trade in values. To me that's a sign of a company that is strong and doesn't have to count pennies to move cars. They probably figure the faster they make the customer happy the faster they sell the car.

Many dealers are advertising 2010 S models for $25K. The lowest conceivable price for the car is $25K + (tax rate x ($25K + $2K rebate)) + state fees, or around $26,700 for 6% sales tax, out the door.
Getting that price would be a pretty negative experience, though. Since the dealer tacks on fees that aren't listed in the ad, you'd have to threaten to report them for false advertising to get them to give you deal as listed. It's also hard if you want a car significantly different from the ad; I've yet to see the SV trim advertised. Fortunately, the car is really nice in base trim and has few options, so you can use the advertised car as a proxy for the one you really want.
In my case, I got one dealer down to $27,300 for the stripper in the ad, and then called another dealer with the one I wanted in stock and asked him to match the price. We ended up at $27,450 as above. The first negotiation took four hours. The second, about five minutes. Even nice Nissan dealers seem to like to steal sales.
I've no sympathy for the first guy, sorting lies from truth could have been an Olympic event.

New Maxima at a steal!!
I traded my 2006 Maxima for 2010 maxima sv, financed 23000 total at 0% interest. It helps when you do your homework.

2009 Maxima SV Premium
Bought mine in Baton Rouge on 1-15-10
It was a white 09 Maxima SV with Premium Pkg only
I paid $32,750 for a demo model with 7k miles.
I got the 0% financing for 60 months as well.
I didn't put anything down, and after $2,947 in taxes and $280 in fees my payment will be $599.62 a month.
Was this a good deal or not? My wife and I love the car!

President's Day Incentives
Just replaced my wrecked 2009 with an identical 2010 model. There's a small gallery of the crashed car on Pg 21 here titled "Xmas Crash."
2010 Maxima SV - $33,180
Sport Package - $2030
Sport Technology Package - $1850
Monitor Package - $700
Floor Mats - $180
Splash Guards - $170
Destination - $720
MSRP: $38,830
Negotiated: $32,100 after incentives, but before TTL
Dealer actually charges $299 doc fee, so I guess the actual price would be $32,399 which I still think is quite good.
I opted for the full rebates w/out the 0% financing.
Side note: I actually prefer the 19" Sport wheels on my '09 than the hyper-silver finish on the '10s. If anyone has a set of *brand new* '09s, I'd be open for a trade.

I'm looking at trying to take advantage of the Presidents Weekend sales.
2010 SV with Sport Package
$32,637 plus $1500 rebate
I'm putting down $19,500 with cash and trade
0$ financing is $216/month

Please do NOT pay anything down or make a trade-in on a deal that has 0% financing!!!!!
1) Use the money you would have paid down to pay off higher interest debt, invest it, or put it in savings for a rainy day.
2) even though you get a tax credit for your trade-in, you can ALWAYS sell it for more than the tax credit and price the dealer gives you. Also, this money you get for a private sale can be used for items in item 1) above.
Please everyone, back me up on this. Poor financial decisions are part of the reason for the economy being so bad.

Took advantage of the 1500 incentive and local dealer gave 1500 if someone in my household had Toyota. I guess toyota's prob got me a HUGE deal, lol. Traded in a car also, so my payments are 380 on a lease. I'm happy
My deal
New to the forum here. Just got mine monday......Ocean grey, SV Premium, tech premium, mats, splash guards...32K after the rebate. I felt like I got a great deal...MSRP was $39,300.

2010 SV
Just got a 2010 SV Frost/Tan with Monitor Package and Cold Package. I felt this gave me most of the amenities of the Premium and Tech Package (without Navigation) and saved me some $$. Also, this way I got the Split fold-down Seats which the premium package does not have.
I came out $6300 below MSRP + 0% for 60 months.
MSRP: 35,300
Invoice: ~32k
Paid: 29k
Anyone else got SV with Cold/Monitor packages?

Finalized my deal today
2010 3.5SV
White / Frost w Charcoal Interior
Premium Pkg
Premium Tech
Spoiler
Mudguards
Matts
MSRP - $39,700
Invoice -$36,074
Paid - $35,240 ($834 below invoice) + taxes / tags
0% - 60 month financing
Didn't take all that much negotiation - the local dealers were fairly adamant that the deal is either $1,250 cash back OR 0% financing so I wanted to get as close as I could to getting both
This is my second Maxima, (had a modded 1995), but will be my wife's daily driver
My other ride is a 08 G37s
I look forward to checking out the forum, hope the above helps

I paid $38,000 for mine in June 2008....Black on Black sport package and the thing i'm upset about is when i bought the car they told me that this package didn't come with the navigation and back up camera and now they are making them with it....This really sucks....
Bought my first Nissan / Maxima yesterday and coming from a 1997 4x4 f150 wow what a difference lol

Also, what is the tax rate in the state where you live?
Thanks in advance!!
Im in ft lauderdale, fl. tax is 6%. I should let you know that my uncle is the manager of the dealership so I was able to use the VPP program which is 4.5% below invoice and then he did all his magic to bring it even lower.
Oh, ok. That makes a lot more sense. Best of luck!

Just got my 2010 Maxima SV w/Premium and Tech Packages, everything but the rear spoiler (I'll look into adding one in a few months). I could've gotten one with the rear spoiler, but didn't want the lighter interior.
So, mine's Dark Slate with the Charcoal leather.
I'm coming from a 2009 Lincoln MKS, and other than being louder, the ride and handling and performance are all good in my book!
Sticker on my car was $39,330 IIRC, but I know I paid $32,679 for the Max. The sales mgr is a friend of mine, and he showed me the book of deals they've made this month ... $329 profit on my car. I traded the Lincoln in (had lots of problems with it, couldn't stand it any more), got 0% financing, so I got GAP since I'm REALLY upside down on it right now. All told, the 0% over 5 years pays for the negative equity in the Lincoln, and I'm happy.
I did have a weird issue with the sunroof last night - it refused to close! Did it twice, and hasn't done it since then (I held the close button until it worked). Looks like a little electrical gremlin to me. The dealer had a tech look at it, open it and close it a bunch, and didn't find anything. They cleaned and lubed the sunroof tracks and gave it back to me.
