If they are a half decent shop, I would hope they found all boost leaks and fixed them. To swap cams I'm sure thats a pricey job for them, especially if they are taking the engine out of the car. Maybe a deal or something can be worked out, but it will be beneficial to get the stock cam in, let them re-dyno and re-tune and complete this project before you gotta take out a loan for them to finish. I'd hate to see the bill on this

1swtmax, werent you welding up turbo kits previously? Didn't you make a few sets and sell for the 4th gen? or was that 1wunfstmax

Thats the same thing I told Tim, to get those factory cams back in the car. He told me he had great success with the S1 and S2 cams. I am really tired of messing around with this car and just want the factory cams back in. And yea your right there goes another 1300.00 bills. But Tim is getting Jim Wolfe involved now, and Tim says he will stand behind his product. But I told Tim that I want Jim to pay for this because its now my 3 time these damn cams have been out of my car. I keep saying it has to be those cams, I did not have any problems or lights coming on until those cams were installed.

And yea there are no boost leaks anywere. It has to be either cam timing or cams. The motor isn`t getting any more air in or out and seeing how the cams operate that. Problem found now lets solve it.

He sent my dyno sheets at 10psi on race fuel and man is that chart impressive. It goes from 100 whp at 2700rpm to 355 whp at 4800rpm but then it just flatens off. So he was suppose to get in touch with Jim Wolfe today and go from there, I mean its going to get fixed regardless what Jim Wolfe says but I am hoping he pays for something if it is the cams and not just cam timing. So I will let you guys know. I hope by tomorrow he should have the motor out and knows whats up.

Wait a sec,

I thought it was stated that the power, "drops off"? It doesn't drop off at all, just remains steady from 4500 on. My other concern would be such a low torque number.

The HP seems to climb pretty quick though.

Well don`t be concerned about the torque number because it doesn`t show torgue at all. What is in solid blue is whp and dotted blue is boost, and what is in solid red is whp and dotted red is boost. He combined 2 different runs blue is at 10 psi and red is 8.5 psi.

I never said the power drops off. I said it flatens off.

according to speed force racing website, the car put out 395.5 horsepower with the stage2. I would most definitely be satisfied with those results......now time for the track

YEA I AM DONE!!!!!!!!! Finally got 400 whp(well close enough) and 412 torque. The problem the whole time wasn`t the cams, it was the exhaust he is putting on a custom 3" exhaust on and sending it back.

Lol congrats. I assume at this point, your done and caring is not your problem now but, still outta curiousity is the kit gonna be produced? And if so is the larger turbo, if it was still used I seem to have missed any mention of it, be included or are they gonna market it differently. Close friend of mine just bought a 5th gen and he's been all over my **** about how this project is going.

I just got on speedforceracing.com and he is using my numbers for the kit so I would imagine he is selling the kit like mine, but honestly I would have your friend call and talk to Tim. Cause I had a Cattman full exhaust and a high flow cat in my car and that was the whole problem. If someone else would have a different exhaust system like say Greddy or something, I`m not sure about this but it might not need to be changed out.

If you go to speedforceracing.com and go to maxima those are my numbers you will see 1swtmax. And he is calling that 395whp stage 2 so I would say yes he is producing that kit.

But, hey all the hard work is done now. I`m dying to use these smiley faces now.

Congrats on the turbo, now i have to save up some $$.

I believe that Cattman is ready to make 3" exhaust, if there enough people interested.

I was talking to Tim he said that car is extremly fast, it goes from 0 to a 100 like that. He said first and second you will have to feather the pedal and then you can smash third, fourth, fifth and sixth. But it will I`m sure take some time to get use to.

Can`t wait to get it back I want to the track, see what it does in the quarter.

Just like I thought, there will always be those people that will have something negative to say. All I can say is rock on bioch. I have spend alot of money and time on this project and am happy with 395. The graph is what it is. Tim had said to me before something along the line of, the reason for inconsistant curve is because of the variable intake manifold he is supposed to be working on an aftermarket one.

you hit the highest hp at 4500 then it dies...

edit: i don't know alot about turbos but ir seems like it hits max boost really low...

The torque peak is at 4500 rpms. The horsepower peak is at 6100 rpms.the stage 2 kit will consist of everything we used on 1swtmaxs car except for the exhaust, electronic boost controller and gauges. Those can be purchase seperately if needed. This car was a little tricky because of the exhaust restriction. We thought it was cam timing but when we monitored the AFRS,short term fuel trims,etc....from bank to bank and then did a compression test,we realized that it could not be cam timing and the only other thing was the exhaust.

Yes That graph is awesome considering it is on a FWD car.If you look closely you will notice this car makes 350WHP+ from 4500 rpms till redline. That is a great powerband. This means you have power just about anytime you need it.The power curves on the Altimas and Maximas do look a little wired becasue fo the variable intake manifold. We have already designed a new manifold that eliminates this and looks pretty incredible.I will post pics as soon as I can.
