Search bro. The complete setup is: headers with ypipe, fastcat, catback. Nothing more, nothing less. That will get you from the engine to the tailpipe.

Resonators and test pipes do not = power.
Catbacks include the bpipe
Some catbacks include a resonator, some don't.

Or you can just tear the motor apart and replace the head gasket. Do some searching around and see what you can find...your call!
Wow, where did you find an engine for $200 bucks?!

Was looking on Cragslist and happened to find one in E. ohio. Just look around a bit, you may have to do a little traveling...but it may be worth it in the end!

I have a question regarding the cattman headers...

Approximately how much are the cattman headers? I couldn't find it anywhere on their website and I e-mailed them as well with no response thus far. I also tried using search with no results. The closest I've gotten is about $850 but the post was 2 years ago.

They're still $850-ish.

Look in the Group Deal forum, his sales are everywhere...

Yes, the unique ypipe is included in the $850 price tag.

Call Cattman, he's a great guy. He'll answer all your questions.

Hi all, noob here and half way through a 3.5 swap. The engine i just picked up has no intake manifold (upper or lower) and no injectors/fuel rail. I plan on using my 95 ecu, so I know that means doing the timing swap. Could someone please advise as to the best im/fuelrail/inj set-up. Thanks.

Well was getting ready to drop the new motor in and noticed a broken bracket on the passenger side axle that apparently attaches to the back of the motor. Just wondering if this is sold separately or would it just be easier to purchase the entire cv axle?
Was searching the forums didnt really see anything and I didnt really wanted to start a new topic on this. Here is a link to the pic.

The bracket does not come with a new axle. Your best bet is the classifieds or a junkyard.

Im guessing this is one of those difficult parts to get a hold of? Would it be worth it just going to the "stealership" just to check and see if its available?

I would definitely try a junk yard first. We have an LKQ here that you pull your own parts and the prices are reasonable.

Yea that would be the more affordable way to go...just need to take my shovel with me since we have near 3 feet of snow!

hard shifting!

Does anyone know if a bad speed sensor might cause rough shifting on an automatic? My CEL is on for that sensor but i am strapped for cash. However if it is causing the hard shifting I will dig up some money and buy it immediately I just need to be sure.

Suspension eibach pro kit ....what struts

Yes I'm new here...
And yes I kno there is a whole suspension thread but it didn't answe my question. First off I got my car 95 maxima. It had a blown head gasket which was a biatch to change and I got it all fixed and workin pretty well now but I ordered some ebiach prokit drop springs an was really wondering what struts are the winnin combination for these springs. And also how low oh a drop after settleing should I expect

Just put a fresh TPS yesterday. Using revised method, variable is set at 545 ohms - 4.3K ohms WOT.

Coming home from work today, something weird happened.

I went to punch it into the passing lane, the AT downshifted, the car started to pick up for .25 sec, then power and rpms dropped back, as if the tranny upshifted(but it did not upshift).

But about .5sec later, it took off fine.

To see if it would do it again, I nailed it from a roll merging, and it took off like a rocket, without a hiccup.

Was this just a flook? It hasn't ever done this before. And this is the first WOT accel. I have done, since I installed the new TPS.

Would a faulty CKPS cause this?

I have heard of this. I had a similar problem on my '96 I30. My tranny didn't shift perfectly, but it wasn't terrible. My speedometer was the main reason I replaced the VSS because my odometer would have been off and the speedo was irratic. I replaced the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) and all 3 symptoms were cured. There was no CEL at any point. My $.02...

For as long as I have been driving, I have been using what I thought was premium 93 gas from Shell. I've also been recommended this from a tech at Orland Park Nissan. When I told him that I've been using 93 premium, he looked at me like I was crazy.

Is it really my gas from Shell that is causing issues with my car? I always make sure to use premium gas as suggested by my manual and by the gas cap. All these years I've been thinking that I was using 93 while the techs at Nissan are telling me that it's 87? Thanks for all future replies if any.

I think your car is misfiring for something completely other than Shell gas. Of all the gas stations in my area (Dayton, OH), Shell is the best and highest quality gas available. I've never had trouble in 9 cars I religiously filled with their gas exclusively (I know, I'm **** retentive...). The misfires I had in my 4th gens was due to MAF issues, coil issues, and knock sensors. You will probably get a knock sensor code with any misfire, but most times it is due to a faulty coil or MAF, which causes the misfire and throws the knock sensor code. At least that has been my experience in owning 2 4th gens and working on 2 others for friends...good luck.

Get a new half-shaft (reman...) from autozone. lifetime warranty and works perfectly. it's only $79...or roughly thereabout.

Short Shifter Issue

I just installed my new short throw and when the car is running the shifter squeks when you shift. I made sure the bearings and the ball were greased and it isn't rubbing the heat shield so I was just wondering what could cause this issue.

Ummm....you never told us the transmission code!! KS code could be a piggy back code to the tranny code, so take care of that first.

Max have any symptoms/ problems??

I have strong smell of coolant in my cabin when I get it it after its been sitting for the night or a couple hours. I searched high and low for any leaking hoses or lines and found none. I noticed though that I smelt some coolant around where the PS reservoir is. But could the smell be coming from a leaky heater core? Or am I just imagining this!?

a bad KS doesn't throw a code, that is normal. If you don't have any symptoms/problems, what made you check to see if you had any codes?

Very well could be a leaky heater core.

Is this common? Is it typically the hoses or the actual core that go bad? I would assume the hoses right? Guess I'm gonna have to remove the dash eh? Anyway I can get a visual on the core from passenger or drivers side without removing anything?

Nope, not common at all. The core usually goes bad, not the hoses. Big pain to get to it unfortunately, no easy way around it. I'd get some free second and third opinions before I tore the dash out etc.

Yea, I'm not planning on going at it anytime soon. Worst comes to worst I can just re-route the lines when summer rolls around until I can get crackin at the solution.

What are you trying to do? replace the EGR tube, EGR valve, the sensor? Either way you look at it its gonna be the same amount of work. If you can remove your old ones then you can definitely clean it so why not save teh $100 ?

Start using premium fuel, these cars were designed to run on it.
