It has been for me. It's free and requires less soldering skills than the replacement.
sounds too good to be true , nice,
it was my first soldering job so, considering that soldering is not too hard, but it felt scary knowing if it went bad more than just the relay could go bad. (the board)
Y'all must be some professional installers, because I don't understand how it only took you 10-15 minutes to get this whole thing done lol.
I know this is the Maxima section, but figured the I'd add to this instead of starting a new thread. I have a 04 I35, and I want to jump the circuit on the board instead of buying a new relay. Problem is, I can't tell exactly which 2 solder points I should be connecting. Can someone point them out for me? Also, I included some pictures of how everything looks on my car, since it seems there are slight variations. Figured it might be helpful for the next day.
Before I got started (the black box is what needs to be removed to access the silver metal box that houses the circuit board.
Anyone know what the white plastic covering is for? There are 2 on the underside of the rear shelf. Not important but I'm curious.
You'll need a 1/4 wrench to get at these screws. A ratchet wrench will work for the other 2 screws, but there's not enough space here with the brown connector there to use a ratchet wrench.
Bose subwoofer cutting on and off problem on my 2000 infinity i30t
Yes I have an issue with my subwoofer cutting in and out I changed the subwoofer with another one that I purchased and thought that would fix it but it still cutting in and out the power. Their is a wire next to the subwoofer that is wrapped with grey foam and feels like a cardboard underneath the foam with connection of a plug with 2 wires that when I move it make it cut back on but then it cuts back off. I was going to change out the amp next to see if that was the issue but 1st wanted to reach out to somebody in here if they could answer my problem and frustration on this Bose system thank yiu

That foam is concealing a circuit board that has a relay on it. You need to take it out and reflow the solder on that circuit board. Alternately, you can bypass that by removing the circuit board and plugging directly into the sub.
Ah, the pics don't show the harness in the rear. So on the harness before the sub, there should be another section of the wiring that is removable and has same connectors as the sub, if you remove it and plug wires directly into sub, it should get rid of the cut out...
I did this and it worked immediately I have a 2001 i30t.I did this in my 2001 maxima gle too and it worked!thanks
My Blose hasn't worked in cold weather for the past 5 years or so. No screen anytime, rain or shine, only my steering wheel buttons work, and only the power button on the head unit work.

Did the penny fix your display and steering wheel control problem?
You don't have to explain, it's Bose.. It's the biggest junk ever like everything else they make.
I'm all JVC/Alpine/Rockford in my car and it sounds a million times better.
Agree 100 percent, I had a stock radio on my '01 Maxima, upgraded all 4 6.5in door speakers and installed a JVC head unit, and it was already loud. Once I dropped a JL Audio10in sub in the back and matching 250w amp then you can hear the bass from blocks away!
