Dues, I just want to wish you good luck and hope everything works out and the problem with steering is something simple. Thanks, for doing it for all of us here.

I found the problem!!! I have been racking my brain trying to figure out why the steering is affected because of changing the front sway bar. Last night, in the middle of the night, I thought about how the steering column connects to the steering rack. It connects INSIDE THE CAR. So, this morning, I looked under the dash, and lo and behold, the steering column was hanging out of the recpetacle. The end of the column has splines that slide into the recpetacle for the steering gear box. When I dropped the subframe to install the sway bar, it pulled the end of the steering column out.

Here is a pic:

Im holding the end of the steering column. To the right is the receptacle that the end of the column slides into.

The good news is nothing is broken. The bad news is, I either have to drop the subframe down again and stick the end of the column in, or remove the steering column and stcik the end in.

I'll likely elect to drop subframe down, make sure wheels are straight, and then slide the column in.

The question is: Can I get it into the frmale side without having to drop the subframe again? U indicated that the clamp can be loosened, but does this apply to all cars?

I answered my own question. The male splined shaft unbolts from the universal joint. Then, the universal joint unbolts from steering shaft. I cant seem to get the male splined shaft into female receptacle u see in the picture above (I know, sounds like a personal problem!!!). Once that goes in, I think i'll be done. I am cleaning the splines and lubricating so it will slide in.

Still trying to get the steering joints to fit. I got the spline into the female receptacle. I removed the universal joint, and slipped it on the spline shaft. I am about 1/4" away from getting iniversal joint on the steering shaft. I may have to drop subframe a couple inches. Still working . . . . .

Car handles very flat and it tracks well through the turn. Front feels tighter. Its amazing how 2mm of thickness can make a difference. I'll post more comments as I run it through more corners.

I dont think Taz makes links for the front yet. I would suggest them for the rear to go along with this bar to make sure ur rear is nice and tight.

Congratulation Deus... Real nice job and Im glad everything worked out. Now where do we buy the bar from, any Nissan dealer? Do we just need to tell them the part numbers (The BAR: 54611-ZB700
Clamp: 54614-8J0000
Clamp: 54615-8J0000
Bushings: 54613-ZB700 <-----You need TWO of these)
we need or what?

I would give them the part numbers, cuz we know for a fact that these are the right numbers. I believe you can order these at any Nissan dealer. I went to Performance Nissan because I have dealt with them before and I like the name. By the way, I feel the bar working when you go over uneven bumps or if you go over a ditch at an angle. It resists bottoming out too which is nice.

Its really a 2-4 hour job. There is no reason to take 8 hours. I took a long time cuz it was 114 degrees here the last few days. Its well worth the $90 and the few hours.

I wish I hadnt had the steering problem. The steering doesnt feel right, and Im sure it has nothing to do with the sway bar.

Steering feels a bit funky, but its because it slipped out of the steering box. It has nothing to do with the sway bar. I will try to spend some time trying to figure out what the problem is.

I know there is an adjustment on the spline. If you scroll up to the pic, right where my thumb is, is where the adjustment is. Ill get down there and try that.
