Take the stock tweet brackets out. Line up the new tweets inside the A pillars and use Hot Glue. Been working for me for years now.

i just drilled a small hole in the metal and put the bracket provided (smallest one) from the tweeter on that then, placed the tweeter in the bracket. if i ever need to take my a pillar totally off and put it outside of the car, i dont need to disconnect my tweeter.

I just duct taped mine to the apillar trim. I added foam weather stripping from home depot to prevent any rattles.

Epoxy Putty is best. You can buy it at just about any HW store. It comes in an 1" thick by 6" long plastic tube. It is a much beter all-purpose product than even duct tape (jk). I have not used it for this in my Max, but I have use it in other cars.

All of you decided to attach it on the a-pillar? That's suprising. I was advised by the speaker manufacturers to not move them that far away from the speakers and told that a position in the door would be best. (It's also the easiest install available). I put them right in front of the door handles.

yes that may be the best, but then you already have holes in the apillar, why would you drill a new hole just for slightly, prob not a noticable quality difference compared to the a-pillar....most put it near the door handle when they do not have the tweet in the a pillar.
