JWT+ Nitrous?

I am getting my NX installed this week and later on I am thinking of adding a JWT ecu. However because the ecu adds timing and changes the air/fuel map, will this hurt my engine? What can I do to balance the advanced timing and nitrous ex: colder plugs?

You have a 98 Maxima, right? JWT doesn't have ecus for 97+, only for 95-96.

I know, but you can use it in my car if the tranny and model match up. However, I will have the check engine light.

Well JWT does offer a ECU with an embedded nitrous program. However, that's used for their single solendoid NOS application...dunno about NX. You could call them and ask.

I'm no expert, but I would guess if you use a bigger fuel jet in your NX kit as well, as the recommended colder plugs, you SHOULD be fine. However, I definitely wouldn't wanna risk it. You may still have detonation. Advanced timing is a no-no for nitrous.

The ECU advances the timing I'm pretty sure. If you are wanting the nitrous, just get the add on for the ECU
