You can actually use the new post feature, just not the new thread. Anyhow, 15 posts is your minimum in order to start a thread. Anti spammer/newbie question rule. Odds are if you've just registered and have no posts/experience, the question you're itching to ask has probably been answered. That is the reason for this thread.

New posts is basically a search, and you can't search unless you donate. $20 for a basically lifetime (50 year membership) as mentioned above by secondtonone317.

you cannot use NEW POSTS... todays posts.... or find all posts/ threads created by ***** user... they all run the forums built in search engine to generate results.

and to "unlock them" you need to pay for a subscription...

Dont quote me on this.

I just did my seafoam last night throught the brake booster... followed soonerfans writeup...

anyways... my car has 125k miles on it... and use 1/3 can of seafoam.... there was alot of smoke..... but nothing like the youtube videos.... the videos show really thick puffs of smoke comming out....

one mine there was alot....enough to cover the entire driveway... but it was thin... i could see through it...

does this mean my car was clean to start with.... or i did something wrong.... or its normal?..... it just wasnt something that i was expecting....

i thought it was going to be really bad where neighbours would complain so i waited till midnight.... but it wasnt bad at all.

again, just make sure everything is lined up. there are about 10 tabs that have to line up perfectly. takes a little bit to figure it out.

Is there an issue in changing out the stock dual mass flywheel/unsprung clutch disc on a 6 sp. for a more conventional solid flywheel/sprung disc? The stock assembly is amazingly expensive, and you can't resurface the flywheel. If there isn't a problem, is the replacement a bolt-on part or is more needed?

Bleed the system, plus check to make sure the clutch pedal height is correct.

you have to lay down your glove box near the floor and slide the right bottom end into the metal clip, then lift it up and push the upper right clip into the hole, then left side.

There should be a locknut behind the clutch pedal on the firewall. Clutch pedal height should be between 7 and 7 1/2 inches and the freeplay between 11/32 and 5/8 of an inch. Description and pictures in my Chiltoin's manual for my car. Definitely pick one up, well worth the $20, IMO.

Did a search but could find anything.

and yes I went to autozone the moment a code showed up and it came up with
P0302 Cyl 2 misfire
then reset it
later the light came on again and it was
p0303 Cyl 3 misfire
reset it since it wqas roaming and then it came on again
p0304 cyl 4 misfire

what would be the cause of that
ECU? coil packs and if so which side of the engine are 2,3,4 on? or what should I check next.

where is a good place to get Maxima specific engine parts, thats not super expensive.

I'm no guru, so someone else will have to chime in, but I thionk it may be the coil packs. DaveB usually seels Nissan parts for a little less than the dealer so if this is the problem, then he's the one to PM.

IIRC when standing infront of the car with the hood open, and looking at the engine the layout is as follows.

(Firewall side)
/1-3-5 \ (Transmission side)
\2-4-6 /
(Bumper side)

I think I'm correct. If not I will edit my post.

Aside from Stillen, Maybe someone is selling on here, but odds are, it is not the color of your car if it's being sold in here.

I have a question,it might have been answered before but I am just curious.I turned on my car(2001 Se,Auto), and on the right of the tachometer, below the the car thermometer, there was a light that said "set". What could that be?

ECU throwing P1167 and P0159 codes.

My ECU light has been on for a month or so on and off, I finally had the codes read at Autozone and it advised the Sensor 2 Bank 2 O2 sensor was too slow during testing. One of the things I have noticed and I beleive is related to this bad 02 sensor is a pinging that occurs beween 1000 and 2000 RPM's. It is really noticable when it first starts and when you let off the accelerator and the RPM's are going down. I am going to attempt to replace this myself. Has anyone experienced this issue and corrected it by replacing their bank 2 sensor 2 Oxygen Sensor? This is the front lower one I beleive.

Too slow? Does the voltage vary rapidly? If so, that could be a sign the cat is bad and not the O2. That is usually a P0420 or P0430 code though.
