It's common sense where the TCS button would be. Also there would be a button that says "TCS". Tell him to look around cause that is just a stupid question to ask.

if he's so interested in this, why doesn't he GET ON HERE HIMSELF? Then he can TELL US IF THERE IS A BUTTON ON HIS CAR, which you don't seem to know.

This discussion is setting an all-time low even for the n00b thread.

the button is located on the left of the steering wheel near the mirror controls. If you don't have it, the car does not have TCS. BTW 'tire burning' =

1. He has a maxima, but no computer

2. For the 5th time, the BUTTON IS ON THE LEFT OF THE STEERING WHEEL, IF THE CAR HAS TCS. IF THE BUTTON IS NOT THERE, HE DOES NOT HAVE TCS.

3. Your buddy is gonna love it when he ruins his transmission, too

I have a computer for sale...would you like to buy one? (seriously)...

But anser me this? How does someone not have a computer now-a-days? And is your friend with you asking these questions so that you can run out to the car and check to see if he has the button or not?

anyone have an interior shot of a 5.5th gen with the TCS? maybe we can show him the button that way.
Although it might be easier for someone to drive over there and push the damn buttom themselves.

You're just jealous because you don't have that magical button.

Does he even have it? All this "searching" and questioning.. and still nothing...I mean all he keeps requesting is to (tell him where the button is) WELL, we HAVE told him, and hes probably relaying this info to his "friend." Yet, the button is nowhere to be found.

Essentially, we are headed in one direction and its NOT a complicated solution..it seems like he doesn't have one..there you go. You cant find something that you are looking for if it isn't there in the first place.

Next question?

Instructions on how to locate said TCS button:

Go here: http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissa...p?dept%5Fid=37

Find your year vehicle of interest (1/3 down the page, 2002 Nissan Maxima)

Open the PDF, do the following:

Go to Page 2-2, call out point 3 (Follow the arrow). It appears again on Page 2-22.

Front Strut Tower Brace

I read in another thread that there is no difference in performance wheather you buy the cheap ebay front strut tower brace or the expensive brand name front strut tower brace. Is this really true?

FWIW, while I've only had the Otto FSTB, I can say that I immediately felt the difference. The steering felt much more direct to the slightest input. I've read many a post from people with cheap fleabay FSTBs stating that they never felt it made any difference.

I have the otto as well.....and really only a minor difference with it on or off. I even removed it at an autocross and really didn't feel much change.

FSTB may make a small difference, but it's alot less than any other suspension/frame mods (including polybushings)...it's mostly just to bling up your engine bay.

BTW, the otto IS a "cheap fleabay" FSTB. It's a knockoff of the stillen. I paid $20 for mine on ebay
