Too much chrome

I think I want to black out some (or all) of the chrome on the front of my 2018 Maxima, including the Nissan badge. Has anybody done this? Or had it done? Some guy that did my tint said that some shops will wrap the chrome in vinyl. I would want it to be matte black, not shiny.

Nope, you will be the first to do it.

Or maybe not...

I love it on my Black '16 Max SL... But I may or may not like all of it on other colors choices.

Preach! I have chrome wheels on my max and it ties in everything.

Well put! Chrome was and is king in the looks department. So tired of these dirty looking moncolor black wheels (not rims) which really just blend into the tires with no definition.

I know that this does not answer your question, but going mat black anything is going to fade like a *****' as ultra violet light and heat work on it. Also, whether wrapped or not (that's what I would recommend) that area is the toughest area to keep looking like it hadn't been pelted by a shotgun due to road debris. I do understand, however, youth attraction to black and away from chrome. I've heard several old-timers say that "you can't have enough chrome". That must make you chuckle, especially seeing street rods at car shows. Hope you get the answers and results you want.
