2019 Nissan Maxima SR Engine Mods

Hey guys,

I’m new to this forum (first post!), and dont know much about cars beyond body work, as my father owned a body shop for 20+ years, and I spent a good amount of time there (mainly sweeping the floor, washing cars and getting yelled at by my Greek dad haha). Anyway
I had a 2016 Maxima SV and a few days ago I gave it back and got a 2019 Maxima SR Sunset Drift (color is defitely a head turner, needs tints - but I typically like to avoid those NY state troopers.)

I’m looking imto a few engine mods to beef up the speed. I’m not really sure where to start. Intake & exhaust? Turbo charge? Chip? Tune? Super charge (highly unlikely, but would still appreciate an oppinion)? Ive been looking on different websites, but don’t see anything “specific” in regards to which exact parts/products would be utilized efficiently/effectively, or even work. I also dont mind a nice deep engine roar, but dont want it to be from muffler delete.

Could somebosy please reccomend me some parts?

Last thing i want to do is waste money on a. Product that wont dont the job.

i thank you all in advance.

Wow...thanks for the threads....I definitely went through it.
By any chance are you able to find anything related to suspensions mods like coilovers and reviews about them? Ive attempted to search and nothing concrete with the few comments of people saying they have Ksport or BC Racing or Eibach springs but no real reviews or feedback.

I'll be here with my popcorn waiting to see what damage comes about re... "intake & exhaust? turbo charge? chip? tune? super charge? and muffler delete."
This should end well.
TL;dr - you bought the wrong car.

Thanks for the info.....lol, didn’t enjoy the reading as much as i thought I would, but it’s good to learn is from other peoples’ experiences. With that said I will be enjoying a stock vehicle.

Great conclusion as most of the mods do not give you any appreciable improvements over stock. Due to the nature of the CVT trans you end up with a car that sounds like it is "mooing" at take off - when you start to screw with the exhaust system. This car rocks as it is but not meant to be a rear drive BMW type hot rod. While I think Nissan takes lots of heat for calling this car a "4DRSC" (which it is not), the car is a great driver for what the majority of us bought it for. Good looks, get still gets to the grocery store in style.
